Savage Worlds Ruleset for Fantasy Grounds II
(c) 2009 Pinnacle Entertainment Group.
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): Wheee
Allan Winston opens the cell door and lets Zach Dallas and Uriel Iscariot leave. On your way out of the Shannonsburg Jail, you collect up all your gear, including weapons, ammo, and Zach's boots.
Uriel Iscariot: Thank ya kindly. I'd hate to be in there much longer.
Texas Ranger Allan Winston: Ya'all come back now, ya hear?
Texas Ranger Allan Winston points his Winchester at Zach Dallas.
Texas Ranger Allan Winston: 'specially you.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): do my boots have a Queen of Spades in them?
Stinky Pete wakes up and heads toward jail
Zach Dallas: Yessir
TADM: No.
[w] -> Stinky Pete: Weematai is nowhere to be seen when you wake up.
[w] Stinky Pete: I figured that. Just read what happened after I left 2 weeks ago
Uriel Iscariot: Good ta know we have folk lookin after us.
To catch a train from Shannonsburg to Shan Fan is going to be $8, each. Your previously ill-gotten tickets were of the nonrefundable variety.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): awww
Nick (Stinky Pete): Wait, so we're not being railroaded for once?
GM: Stinky Pete shows up outside the jail just as Uriel and Zach are walking out, freed from incarceration and ready to wreak havoc on the Old West.
[w] Zach Dallas -> Uriel Iscariot: I would like my monies back plz
[w] Uriel Iscariot -> Zach Dallas: You has it nao
TADM: Technically no, you can wander in whatever direction you want. Although the cruel DM might have some sort of doomsday clock running in the background.
Stinky Pete: Don't you mean the New West? Nothing is old to anyone here, yet
Uriel Iscariot: Old, New, Whatever - Stinky, can you lend a poor man some cash?
Uriel Iscariot: Persuasion [1d8 = 2]
[w] Zach Dallas -> Uriel Iscariot: that will be $210
[w] Uriel Iscariot -> Zach Dallas: yah, you has it nao. I didnt do anything with it
[w] Zach Dallas -> Uriel Iscariot: kk
Stinky Pete: Um, I suppose. I have no real need for it at the moment.
Uriel Iscariot: Whatever thou does for the least of your brothers, thy does it for the LORD.
Zach Dallas: thou?
Zach Dallas: You used Thou once and Thy once for the same thing
Uriel Iscariot: .....
Zach Dallas: I mean, I'm not a pro on grammar or anything
Zach Dallas: but still....
Zach Dallas purchases his ticket
Zach Dallas: D'OH
Zach Dallas: We have to go get Weematai too
[w] Uriel Iscariot -> Stinky Pete: just 8 bucks.
Stinky Pete buys 2 tickets
Zach Dallas heads out to the hill to get Weematai
Zach Dallas: You guys coming?
Uriel Iscariot: Yeah, yeah I am commin
Stinky Pete follows
TADM: And, just to possibly imply the existence of said, "Doomsday Clock" it is February 18, 1880.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): time today?
TADM: It is 0815 PST.
Stinky Pete: Survival [1d6 = 11]
GM: If you are looking for Weematai, roll tracking or survival.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): date
TADM: Well...okay, Stinky Pete is good, no one else needs to roll.
Stinky Pete does some scouting around and does not have much luck finding Weematai, but he does find a mortally injured Native American male. The man has a deep slash in his chest, the skin around the slash is colored black and smoke is rising from it.
Zach Dallas: Oh dear
Indian Brave: Black knives...ahh....pain...beware...the black knives...
Zach Dallas: Uriel, is this fixable?
Zach Dallas: Who did this to you?
Uriel Iscariot: I thought she was with you Stinky?
Zach Dallas: Persuasion [1d6 = 10]
Stinky Pete: She was when I fell asleep last night
Zach Dallas: What did they look like?
Indian Brave: The Chumash tribe...beware the black knives...
Indian Brave gurgles and dies.
TADM: Good thing the healer was paying attention there.
Uriel Iscariot: 0.0
Uriel Iscariot: Faith {+2 Conviction} +2 (Seasoned Power -4) [1d10-2 = 6]
Uriel offers a prayer to God. Nothing Happens.
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): When god gives you lemons...YOU FIND A NEW GOD.
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: You get the feeling whatever magic stabbed this guy, it stops ALL beneficial spells from working on him.
[w] Zach Dallas: I Hunch the poor guy for a good view of who did this to him?
Zach Dallas: Spellcasting [1d10 = 7]
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: Sort of like when you tried to heal Cynthia back in Dodge.
Uriel Iscariot: Poor guy....
[w] -> Zach Dallas: It looks like another Indian and this guy were in a fight and this guy was stabbed by an Obsidian looking knife. It left the gash on his chest. Other than a feeling that it was some other Native American, you get NOTHING identifiable from the person.
Uriel Iscariot: I can do naught for his wounds. There are foul magics at work here, not mere physical wounds.
GM: I don't suppose anyone wants to roll Common Knowledge?
[w] Zach Dallas: was it just one guy?
Zach Dallas: Common Knowledge [1d10 = 5]
[w] -> Zach Dallas: Just one other person.
Uriel Iscariot: Smarts [1d6 = 3]
Stinky Pete: Smarts [1d8 = 22]
Nick (Stinky Pete): BOOM!!
[w] -> Zach Dallas: The Chumash indians are native to California.
Nick (Stinky Pete): I am so smart. I am so smart. S M R T, I mean S M A R T
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): BAAAAAD.
[w] -> Stinky Pete: Pete The Chumash Indians are native to southeastern California, they originally lived around the area where the City of Lost Angels sits. They are known to be incredibly hostile to all white people for a variety of reasons. Their tribal shaman and blessed warriors carry Obsidian Knives that supposedly cause lethal wounds with a minor scratch. With that roll, you happen to think that...hmmm....you know someone running around with an Obsidian Knife that seems pretty damn lethal.
GM: Okay, now what?
Zach Dallas: Rumor has it Pete knows everything
Zach Dallas: What does this Chumash tribe mean to you?
Uriel Iscariot: I gone done seent he Angel of Knowledge descend down on ye, Stinky
[w] Stinky Pete: Just tell them what I just got.
Uriel Iscariot: What doth this harbinger teachest thou?
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): lol
Zach Dallas: Persuasion [1d6 = 2]
The Chumash Indians are native to southeastern California, they originally lived around the area where the City of Lost Angels sits. They are known to be incredibly hostile to all white people for a variety of reasons. Their tribal shaman and blessed warriors carry Obsidian Knives that supposedly cause lethal wounds with a minor scratch.
Zach Dallas: Hm
Zach Dallas: I wonder if Weematai wandered off and got captured?
The dead Native American's body begins to decay REALLY fast.
Uriel Iscariot: Why would Chumash want to slaughter Natives though?
TADM: The best description I can think of will be triggered with the phrase, "He chose poorly."
[w] Zach Dallas: did I get any feeling of a strong Manitou presense when I Hunched him?
Uriel Iscariot: And...what did you do to Weematai, Stinky?
[w] -> Zach Dallas: Nope. Actually the opposite, it almost felt like Manitou were a bit scared of whatever killed him.
Stinky Pete: I didn't do anything.
Uriel Iscariot: Notice [1d6 = 11]
GM: It is now about 0915. There is one train going to Shan Fan today, it leaves at 1145.
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): Anyone fleeing the immediate area.
[w] Zach Dallas: did I get a time sense of when the guy died?
[w] Zach Dallas: such as by lighting
GM: Uriel notices some tracks and signs of a scuffle in the area. The fight was between two people. From the tracks, the person who won was smaller and headed back toward Shannonsburg after the fight. You lose the trail after a couple yards.
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: Iscariot Yeah, about 30 minutes before you guys found him.
Stinky Pete: Notice {+2 Alertness(S)} [1d6+2 = 12]
[w] -> Zach Dallas: About 30 minutes before you found him
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): don't expect me to carry that out
[w] Zach Dallas -> Uriel Iscariot: I suspect these tracks are 30min old
Zach Dallas: Let's get going
GM: Stinky is pretty sure the person was a lot smaller and pretty good with a knife. Much better than anyone in the party.
Zach Dallas: We've got two and a half hours
Uriel Iscariot: Something tells me we are not going to make it.
Zach Dallas: Where could Weematai have gone?
Stinky Pete: No idea. Though, one of us should stay at the station and wait, in case she shows up
Stinky Pete: If she's not there when the train leaves, she can catch up
Uriel Iscariot: Stinky Nate! I mean Pete.....
Uriel Iscariot: NO
Uriel Iscariot: Come NOW.
Uriel Iscariot: Zach, Hunch those tracks. =]
Zach Dallas: Excuse me, I have nowhere near enough power to cause a chain of locations to track him
Zach Dallas: Unless you want me to rapidly gain Hindrances
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): =0
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): It's only good for one instance
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): and it's expensive
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): 3pp, dude
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): can't Deal for that shit
Uriel Iscariot: Argh.
Uriel Iscariot: Notice [1d6 = 4]
Zach Dallas: It looks like he went back into town, though. We could track him down in there
Zach Dallas: Of course...
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): Something left behind by the assailant.
Zach Dallas glances at the decaying body
Zach Dallas: it doesn't look like there will be any evidence at all
GM: There is a nice pile of dust.
Uriel Iscariot: Aight then, if you think you can find him, I have your back. lets go.
GM: So the party is heading back down to the train station?
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): I think so
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): how long are the tickets good for?
Uriel Iscariot: Im following Zach, wherever he takes me, in pursuit of the bro-dude.
GM: The group makes it back down to the train station without incident. Weematai is waiting in the bushes nearby, watching for the group and avoiding the unfriendly townsfolk of Shannonsburg.
Stinky Pete: See, I was right!
Weematai: I saw you were released from the white man jail. That you were not killed makes me happy.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): yay!
Zach Dallas: Makes me happy, too
Uriel Iscariot: Rejoice! For we have found our lost one!
Zach Dallas: Weematai, how much do you know of the Chumash tribe?
Uriel Iscariot: Happy is he who has lost something, and found it.
Weematai: They are brave warriors who live in the desert near the City of Lost Angels. They do not speak much with other Native Americans and are unfriendly towards white people. Why do you ask?
Zach Dallas: We found a Brave dying in the woods
Zach Dallas: He had a nasty, black wound on his chest
Weematai looks shocked.
Zach Dallas: One that would perfectly match the description of one of those Obsidian Daggers
Weematai: It would be strange for a Chumash Indian to be so far from home.
Uriel Iscariot: 'Turned to dust not in months, but minutes. That's not natural!
Zach Dallas: We're going to have to be careful, if we find that guy
GM: It is now 0945.
Weematai: I guess you should make sure you are not stabbed by a Chumash warrior.
Weematai shrugs.
Zach Dallas: Yes
Zach Dallas: Now, for round two
Zach Dallas turns to Uriel
Campaign saved.
Uriel Iscariot: ...yes>
Zach Dallas: Are you OK?
Uriel Iscariot: ??
Uriel Iscariot: Well sort of.
Zach Dallas: Excellent
Uriel Iscariot: As okay as one can be out here.
Zach Dallas: Do you think I could get some water?
Uriel Iscariot: Sure.
Zach Dallas: Persuasion [1d6 = 9]
Uriel Iscariot: Faith {+2 Conviction} +2 (Novice Power Penalty -2) [1d10 = 4]
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): Hydromancer.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): verdict?
GM: Uriel creates water.
Zach Dallas: Excellent. Thank you
Uriel Iscariot: What do you want me to do with this?
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): one day you will misspell Hydromancer and summon something far more terrifying
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): If I was a Hydroxmancer, life would be sweet!
Weematai: Are we getting on the steel carriage?
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): Well, I was thinking more along the line of Hydramancer
Zach Dallas: We've got another hour or so left
Zach Dallas: We can either get on now or lounge here
Zach Dallas: Any opinions?
Uriel Iscariot: I'm not so sure we can yet. We can't just let a killin go like this....
Zach Dallas: Doesn't matter to me
Zach Dallas: But we can't do anything about it
Stinky Pete: We know someone did it. But with no solid leads, there's really nothing we can do
GM: Technically, the train you are going to board does not pull into the station until 1115.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): ROFL
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): OK, no choice then
Uriel Iscariot: Okay, So correct me if I am mistaken
Uriel Iscariot: But a would be killer only has two ways out of this town
Uriel Iscariot: Train, or death.
Uriel Iscariot: Now we just need a way to pick him out at the station.
[w] Zach Dallas: was he a Brave? The killer I mean
Stinky Pete: I don't think it's that simple. If he's an Indian and hates white people, he wouldn't be caught dead near them
Nick (Stinky Pete): Oh wait, he would. Zing!
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): NICE!
[w] -> Zach Dallas: According to your hunch, it was a Native American who was smaller than the guy who died.
Stinky Pete has been awarded a benny
Uriel Iscariot: But...he killed a brave.
TADM: That's so bad, I'm just going to hand out the benny now.
Uriel Iscariot: Notice [1d6 = 4]
Uriel Iscariot: What was the Brave wearing?
Stinky Pete: Um, you think anyone in this town gives a damn? Besides, he turned to dust already, so there's no body
Weematai: A Chumash Indian this far north probably came here for a specific reason, perhaps to kill the person you found.
[w] Zach Dallas: was he wearing ordinary indian stuff?
Zach Dallas: That's quite possible
[w] -> Zach Dallas: Yes.
[w] Zach Dallas: was it light enough to ID skin tone?
Weematai: And he is probably already on his way south.
[w] -> Zach Dallas: ?? As in the skin tone of the dead guy?
Uriel Iscariot: ugh!
[w] Zach Dallas: no, the murderer
[w] Zach Dallas: or am I deciding he was an Indian based on his clothes?
Stinky Pete: Most likely, but nothing is certain in this area. We should keep on our toes
GM: It is now 1000.
Nick (Stinky Pete): Waits for her to take it literally and fall over
[w] -> Zach Dallas: The murderer was wearing normal looking Indian clothes and had Native American skin tones.
Weematai gets up on her tip-toes (which makes her about 5" taller and therefore about 5'8" tall) and somehow dextrously manages to remain that way until you board the train.
Uriel Iscariot: Remains on guard until boarding the train.
Zach Dallas: Notice [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6 = 3]
Stinky Pete: Notice {+2 Alertness(S)} [1d6+2 = 13]
Zach Dallas gives a good description of the man
Nick (Stinky Pete): Meh, I don't mind being wrong
GM: Zach Dallas gives a description of the murderer. It is about as good as a profile given to a police artist who then draws a stick man with long hair and ruddy skin tones.
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): LOL
Weematai: Okay, that narrows it down to every Native American on earth. I shall keep a sharp eye out for him.
Zach Dallas: Excellent. What are the odds that the GM retroactively makes all of the passengers Native American?
TADM: Really high.
Nick (Stinky Pete): Best Elan impression: "If it's 1-in-a-million, it's a certainty!"
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): But thats ok as it is more targets for Killer dude, reducing the chances of someone important being ganked.
Paranoid Hate-filled Ignorant Townsfolk: Hey there! It's that criminal Northerner guy and he's talkin' with an Injun! Get a mob!
Weematai: Umm...
Stinky Pete: Uh oh
Paranoid Hate-filled Ignorant Townsfolk runs off to get several dozen like-minded sociopaths.
Weematai: White people are scary.
Uriel Iscariot: Aw hell....
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): time until the train leave?
TADM: One hour.
Zach Dallas: Let's stay in the outskirts for a while
Zach Dallas: actually...
Zach Dallas: Persuasion [1d6 = 11]
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): Mobs have their use... =)
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): to calm the chap down
TADM: "What happened?" *pause* "Aw Hell means 'continuous firing' in Minbari." *pause* "Dammit!" *Pause* "Great, that means 'full stop and power down.'"
Paranoid Hate-filled Ignorant Townsfolk: Oh, I guess you are not so bad, given that the Ranger let you go.
Paranoid Hate-filled Ignorant Townsfolk: But I'll be keeping an eye on you.
Paranoid Hate-filled Ignorant Townsfolk sharpens pitchfork.
Nick (Stinky Pete): Are they all sharing a single pitchfork? Wow, poor bastards
Uriel Iscariot: Good Folk of this town, I implore upon you - do you not see the disease in this town? the plague which now threatens your way of life?
Zach Dallas: Persuasion [1d6 = 11]
Placated Townsfolk: He must be a preacher of the LORD! I shall listen to his every word!
Zach Dallas: Uriel, sit down and shut up
Uriel Iscariot: Smarts [1d6 = 4]
Placated Townsfolk stares at Uriel with wide eyes, turning into God-fearing sheep looking for some heretics to kill.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): ffw
Weematai stares at Uriel with amazement.
Weematai: White people are really weird.
The train arrives. Everyone gets on without incident. The train heads north to Shan Fan. It arrives without further incident. The group gets off the train at the main Iron Dragon station in Shan Fan.
TADM: "P" is the party location.
Weematai: Umm...this city is very....scary to me.
Zach Dallas: Common Knowledge [1d10 = 7]
Uriel Iscariot: Ahh, I need to stretch my legs, That was a relaxing trip, why can't we do that all the time.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): stats of Shan Fan?
Uriel Iscariot: 404 Error No such Skill [1d6 = 11]
Stinky Pete: Smarts [1d8 = 20]
Nick (Stinky Pete): I know everything again!!
Nick (Stinky Pete): Hmm, guess my shit doesn't stink
[w] Stinky Pete: Everyone can share in my wealth
Shan Fan is run by the Hsieh Chia Jên. They show polite flourishes that do not quite conceal their iron authority. Hsieh Chia Jên, which means “Family of Deliverance,” is what the Chinese of Shan Fan call their mutual benefit society, or triad. The group is known to almost everyone else as the Shan Fan Triad. There are other minor triads doing business in and around Shan Fan, but they all pay tribute to the Hsieh Chia Jên.
Plenty of folks—especially government and law-enforcement agencies Back East—would consider the Shan Fan Triad a gang of criminals. Sure, they run brothels, gambling halls, and opium dens. Their “family” is sometimes torn by violent turf conflicts that typically take place in the streets. They offer a safe haven for most of the Maze’s pirates and a place to fence their booty. Yet even among non-Chinese, the Shan Fan Triad might be the most popular and accepted authority in the entire Maze.
Nick (Stinky Pete): "That, my boy, is a mountain of knowledge." "But...But I can't read!!"
The current Big Boss is T’Sang Po Tam, also known as Big Ears Tam. Tam lives in splendor in a big manor, guarded by more rascals than you can shake a stick at.
As far as most anglos are concerned, the face of authority in Shan Fan is Wong Chau Sang, also known as Long-Haired Tony.
Uriel Iscariot: Hrm. So Stinky, where did you learn all of this?
Of primary interest to the average traveling cowpoke, Red Lantern Town is where all of the hooting and hollering of out-of-towners takes place. Here you find your saloons (such as the Jade Pavilion), gambling parlors, opium dens, bordellos, and hotels (the Eight Immortals Inn being one of the most popular). Many establishments combine all of these functions into one, naturally. Since this is where crime is often at its worst, Sheriff Tony’s main offices are here too.
TADM: End Encyclopedia Pete-ica entry on Shan Fan.
Stinky Pete: Ah, so many memories
Uriel Iscariot: Don't be all weak in the knees there. This concrete jungle is just another place, I assure you it is as natural as a normal forest.
Nick (Stinky Pete): Oooh! I want to go to Stinktown!! Can I run for mayor?!?
Uriel Iscariot: Or other favorite environ you may have.
Zach Dallas: Needless to say, I think we'll want to stick together, though
[w] Stinky Pete -> Zach Dallas: Don't go to Sweat Island.
[w] Stinky Pete -> Uriel Iscariot: Don't go to Sweat Island
Uriel Iscariot: And oh yes, Pete, in all your wisdom, do you happen to know which dialect they speak here most?
Weematai: I would prefer to go back into nature and keep an eye for you from there. This many people and so many buildings....
Weematai looks nervous.
Stinky Pete: It's okay. We understand.
GM: Encyclopedia Pete-ica thinks they speak Cantonese. That's what some guy told him.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): lol
[w] Zach Dallas -> Stinky Pete: aw, but that was the first place on this brochure I got...
Uriel Iscariot: Aight then. I suggest we get a room at a hotel, and then work from there. =).
Weematai backs away from the group and heads out towards the wilderness.
Nick (Stinky Pete): brb afk
GM: Several Chinese guys stare at her with rather lecherous looks.
GM: They do not do anything else, instead looking at the three Anglos rather nervously and whispering amongst themselves.
Zach Dallas: So, now we've got to find Pennington
Zach Dallas: Common Knowledge [1d6 = 7]
Uriel Iscariot: Yes but before we can do that, we should get a place.
Uriel Iscariot: We certainly cant just stand out here
Stinky Pete: Well, let's head toward Eight Immortals Inn, then
Uriel Iscariot: Agreed.
[w] Stinky Pete: Were we given any clues to what part of Shan Fan Pennington was in?
Zach Dallas: Suuuuure
[w] -> Stinky Pete: No
Uriel Iscariot: Escorts the group to the hotel.
The Eight Immortals Inn is a pretty nice looking hotel, bordello, gambling hall, opium den combination. Quite the resort area in 1880 terms. It is a mere $10/night for a room with two twin beds.
GM: That does not include meals, or any other services.
Zach Dallas: One for me, one for Uriel, floor for pete
Zach Dallas: or, we could go somewhere else and spend significantly less
Stinky Pete: Meh, I've slept on worse
Stinky Pete: True. Any nice-ish pure hotels in the area?
Uriel Iscariot: Do you want to spend less? Saftey is priceless.
TADM: Good thing Weematai is not here to get her own room....
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): Local Time?
Zach Dallas: Crimany, I'm actually going to have to put effort into getting money if we wind up staying here
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): time of day?
The Sunrise House is a nice "hotel only" that is on the north end of Red Lantern Town on a hill. It is only $50/night.
Uriel Iscariot: 0.0
GM: It is around noon on February 19th.
GM: Clearly the party will need some cash to pay these ludicrous expenses...
GM: If only there were some easily fleeced gamblers around...
Zach Dallas: Plan B, find our target and see if we can mooch rooms Rippers-style
Zach Dallas: Notice [1d6 = 3]
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): gamblers..
Uriel Iscariot: Persuasion [1d8 = 6]
GM: There are plenty of Chinese people around. It looks like they are playing some sort of gambling game you have never seen before.
Zach Dallas: Persuasion [1d6 = 4]
Stinky Pete: Smarts [1d8 = 18]
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): mine is amended with "I'm not paying"
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): Well Played Sir. Well Played.
GM: Clearly Stinky Pete is a genius who should not be trifled with.
Zach Dallas goes over to watch the Chinese
GM: They look at you suspiciously and whisper amongst themselves.
Zach Dallas: Smarts [1d10 = 6]
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): to get a grasp of the game
GM: They are playing Mah-Jongg.
GM: You get a firm grasp of how the game works, and have no idea how the betting works.
Uriel Iscariot: Hey stinky? I think It would go a long way towards the better of all worlds If we got Weematai some clothes that do not immediately draw attention to her. Would you care to donate to the clothe the NPC fund?
Stinky Pete: My guess, he'll be in one of two places: 1) Hidden out of the way somewhere where it'll be hard to find him, or 2) hiding in plain sight in one of the nicest places in town
Uriel Iscariot: For ONLY 10.00 You could change the life of one person FOREVER
TADM: Umm....what about the "Weematai is claustrophobic and terrified of cities" part of the equation?
Stinky Pete: I think her being in town is a BAD idea.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): and the skin tone...
Nick (Stinky Pete): And her physique
Zach Dallas focuses on trying to figure out the betting
Zach Dallas: Smarts [1d10 = 8]
TADM: Plus she has "C" cups...how many Chinese women in 1880 have "C" cups?
[w] Stinky Pete: What was the name of the club/society he belongs to?
GM: Zach thinks he has the betting system worked out - what would everyone else like to do while Zach Dallas stands there for three hours?
[w] -> Stinky Pete: The Explorer's Society.
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): Well yah, but I would think its still safer to at least TRY and blend in than it is to be ALONE outside the city.
[w] Stinky Pete: Location of the Explorer's Society headquarters/branch office/whatever
Stinky Pete: Smarts [1d8 = 3]
Stinky Pete is using a benny
[w] -> Stinky Pete: No clue.
Uriel Iscariot: So what do you say Stinky?
Uriel Iscariot: Will you donate TODAY? within the next 5 mintues?
Stinky Pete: Smarts [1d6 = 10]
Stinky Pete: Um, no
[w] Stinky Pete: Still no luck?
Uriel Iscariot: =|
Uriel Iscariot: All the wisdom of solomon, but with all the greed and stingyness of the Pharisees....
[w] -> Stinky Pete: Somewhere in this district of town, probably.
Stinky Pete is searching for the Explorer's Society building
Stinky Pete: Notice {+2 Alertness(S)} [1d6+2 = 7]
Uriel Iscariot Cautiously brings Weematai with him as he follows Stinky
GM: Pete spends about two hours wandering around, and finds nothing.
Uriel Iscariot: Zach is gambling. Leave her alone and we loose her period.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): you should let Weematai stay out in the wilderness
GM: Weematai is not here...she bailed and went out back into the forest.
GM: Are you going to go look for her?
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): Where she can take care of herself and not get kidnapped
GM: Many Chinese women try to seduce you into paying them for sex.
GM: There are also offers of opium and gambling.
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): Suddenly, I can relate to Uriel.
GM: Plus you see a number of Anglo gunslingers, miners, and other such folks who succumb to the urge to hire prostitutes, drugs, or gambling.
Uriel Iscariot: Try, Speak Language Cantonse. Information Gathering (Exploreres Society)
GM: Frequently you see them targeted by various Chinese thugs who rob them or extort from the Anglos, although for some reason the Chinese thugs give you a wide berth.
Uriel Iscariot: Faith {+2 Conviction} +2 (Novice Power Penalty -2) [1d10 = 4]
Uriel Iscariot: 404 Error No such Skill [1d4 = 7]
GM: Uriel begins speaking Cantonese.
GM: After five hours of searching, Uriel runs into a man named "Willy Long Tam" who thinks he has heard of this group, and is willing to sell you some information about them.
GM: Zach can make a couple gambling rolls to catch up so that everyone is at 5PM.
Zach Dallas: Gambling [1d6 = 3]
Zach Dallas: Gambling [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6 = 4]
Zach Dallas is using a benny
Zach Dallas: Gambling [1d8 = 7]
Zach Dallas: Gambling [1d8 = 13]
[w] Uriel Iscariot: GM alright Long Tam, What do you want?
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): progressively better as I learn the game
GM: By 5PM Zach is up about $25 on Mah-Jongg.
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: Say $20 and I give you good info.
Zach Dallas: This game is awesome!
Zach Dallas: Uriel, you gotta....
Zach Dallas: oh shit
Zach Dallas gets up and looks around
Zach Dallas: Notice [1d4 = 3]
[w] Uriel Iscariot: GM Do you take IOUs? Pay when information is verified?
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: No, you give me money, I give you good info
Zach Dallas cleans up, gathers his things, and....
Zach Dallas: wanders over to the desk
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: Or you give me less money, I give you less good info
Zach Dallas: Can I ask if a Mr. Uriel Iscariot got a room here earlier?
Perky Young Chinese Desk Clerk: Ni Hao!
Perky Young Chinese Desk Clerk: You want happy ending?
Zach Dallas: can
Zach Dallas: you
Zach Dallas: speak
Zach Dallas: english?
Perky Young Chinese Desk Clerk: I give good happy ending!
Zach Dallas facepalms
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): do they have a sign-in book?
Perky Young Chinese Desk Clerk: For $10 you get Happy Ending! For $25 I give you Happy Ending with mouth!
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): really?
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): really?
[w] Uriel Iscariot: GM I spent all my money getting here. Something to do with that little spat down in Lost Angels. I do have this Colt, can I pay you with this?
GM: They have a sign in book.
Zach Dallas: No thank you
Zach Dallas checks the book for Uriel and Pete
GM: Neither Uriel nor Pete have signed in.
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: Ooohhh shiny. Me like. We have trade.
[w] Uriel Iscariot: GM hand over the gun and 22 rounds
Zach Dallas: Hm
Zach Dallas: Common Knowledge [1d10 = 15]
GM: Uriel seems to be engrossed in a conversation with a clever looking Chinese man.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): where was the Captani guy again?
GM: Probably in the Explorer's Society Lodge, and you have no idea where that is.
[w] Uriel Iscariot: GM okay. What do you know about a man named Captain Roderick Pennington-Smythe?
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): can I see Uriel?
GM: No to Kazemi.
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: I used to cook for Explorer's Society. (Gives you directions to Lodge) They ran into trouble with Family of Deliverence. Lodge was looted and burned down. I know not where people inside go, I was not there when it happened. Maybe Long Hair Tony know more.
GM: The clever looking Chinese man runs off.
Perky Young Chinese Desk Clerk: So sir, you want room? Hot bath? Good smoke?
Perky Young Chinese Desk Clerk seems intent on selling something to Zach Dallas.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): is she the offical desk clerk?
GM: She is the desk clerk currently standing there. There is a grim-faced bouncer near her who does not say anything, and looks like his idea of a fun time is cricle-kicking people here and seeing if they land in Shan Fan Bay.
[w] Uriel Iscariot: GM Ok. I'll check out the location he described, making sure to TAUNT any prostitutes I encounter with promises of hellfire for their leading men down the path to ruin
Nick (Stinky Pete): Is it Chuck Norris?
TADM: You get the feeling that if you shot him, it would only make him mad.
Uriel Iscariot: Taunt [1d6 = 5]
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): oh dear
Zach Dallas: I would like 1 room please
Stinky Pete: Hmmm...surprised it's this hard to find
Zach Dallas: for 1 night
As Uriel walks along, he speaks Cantonese to several scantily clad young women, who scowl at him and throw dirt or spray perfume at him.
Zach Dallas: and that will be all
This naturally causes their "guards" to view Uriel as a threat, and several draw their weapons and watch Uriel closely.
Perky Young Chinese Desk Clerk: Okay, one room...will be very cold. Sure you don't want company? I give you good boom-boom.
Zach Dallas: No thank you, I will be fine
Perky Young Chinese Desk Clerk looks disappointed, clearly she has been wasting time on a Eunuch.
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): Hes only into demons and witches.
Uriel and Stinky reach a spot that Uriel was heading towards. There is the smoking ruins of a building, it looks like it was burned to the ground a couple days ago. The people in the area shy away from it, and also from Uriel and Pete once they stop to look at it.
TADM: If only the group had not been delayed in Shannonsburg....
Stinky Pete: Oh dear
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): LOL
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: The dude has played you straight so far.
Uriel Iscariot: Now to survey the damage.....
Stinky Pete: Agreed
Stinky Pete: Notice {+2 Alertness(S)} [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6+2 = 11]
Uriel Iscariot: Windstorm, using the vortex to sift through ashes and debris for rings.....lets see if bro dude is still alive.
Uriel Iscariot: Faith {+2 Conviction} +2 (Novice Power Penalty -2) [1d10 = 7]
Zach Dallas once he obtains his room, Zach goes to find another game to play. He signs "brb gambling" next to his name
It looks like the building was thoroughly looted BEFORE it was burned to the ground.
GM: It is now 1800 on February 19, 1880.
GM: Your stomachs are rumbling and food would be good.
Stinky Pete: drinks some food
Zach Dallas: Gambling [1d8 = 5]
Uriel Iscariot: Hey stinky, do you wish to support the good works of the church?
Stinky Pete: No
[w] Zach Dallas: two more Gambling rolls?
[w] Zach Dallas: how long does each one last?
Uriel Iscariot: Okay how bout a loan then?
GM: As you glance around, you notice that the prices for food range from $1.50 for a meal of questionable origin and quality...up to $10 for some prime Grade A beef and a meal that smells great.
[w] -> Zach Dallas: One hour per roll, so right now everyone is at 1800 and even. If you roll it will be 1900 for you.
Stinky Pete: Let's get some grub
Stinky Pete: $5 meal. Each
GM: Subtract money and eat food. Yay.
Uriel Iscariot: Can you spot me a meal bro?
Uriel Iscariot: PLEASE?
[w] Zach Dallas: did I earn $5 from my roll?
Buddhist Monk: I shall be happy to buy a meal for a fellow man of the cloth.
[w] -> Zach Dallas: The $25 was sum winnings for all rolls.
Uriel Iscariot (Cantoneese): Hello?
Nick (Stinky Pete): Each, as in for each of us
[w] Zach Dallas: that'll work
[w] Zach Dallas: I'll play until 1900, then go grab some food
Buddhist Monk (English): I speak English just fine, we can speak that way if it is more convenient for you. Plus it gives me a chance to practice.
[w] -> Zach Dallas: One gambling roll then
Uriel Iscariot: Hey there. Your kindness is appreciated.
Uriel Iscariot: Seems a good friend of mine is going to spot me a meal, So its okay.
Buddhist Monk: No problem, I do not see many Christian Monks in Shan Fan. Always nice to speak with one and compare theologies.
Uriel Iscariot: =]
Buddhist Monk: Well then, might I recommend a restaurant where the three of us can eat together?
Zach Dallas: Gambling [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6 = 4]
Uriel Iscariot: I would enjoy such an opportunity.
[w] -> Zach Dallas: That would be $3 in winnings.
Uriel Iscariot: Where would you suggest. A vegetarian place?
Buddhist Monk leads Uriel and Pete to a small restaurant that specializes in vegetarian food. It smells outstanding.
Stinky Pete: If God had intended for us to be vegetarians, why did he fill animals with delicious meat?
[w] Zach Dallas: price of food?
Uriel Iscariot: Kn Occult {+2 Honey Vial} [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6+2 = 11]
[w] -> Zach Dallas: See above.
[w] Zach Dallas: OK, so I'll go for $5 for some decent food
Buddhist Monk: Animals all possess souls and to kill them represents murder and the bad karma that goes with it.
Uriel Iscariot: That question is deep. Some believe it okay, some believe it not okay. Some even believe that it appropriate for certain people to eat meat, but it is not appropriate for others to do so.
Uriel Iscariot: And there you have it Pete. If you believed in Karma, youd see why it is wrong.
Buddhist Monk: Your Christian world is full of many preplexities, which is why I find it so fascinating.
Uriel Iscariot: Yes...indeed it is full of gross inconsistencies....I mean perplexities. =]
Buddhist Monk: Indeed.
Buddhist Monk orders food for everyone.
GM: The waitstaff and other Chinese in the room kowtow to this guy. In fact, the Chinese thugs who are clearly enforcers for the Shan Fan Triad give him a reverant bow as they enter and leave the building.
GM: Food is promptly brought out and placed at the table. The Monk waits for everyone to pay, then smiles and gestures for you to begin eating.
Uriel Iscariot: So, may I ask the name of your order, and whom I have the pleasantry of speaking with?
Nick (Stinky Pete): How much is it?
Buddhist Monk: Itadakimas.
Uriel Iscariot: 404 Error No such Skill [1d4 = 7]
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): Do I recognize the languge?
TADM: Uh oh...Uriel might just have picked up some "out of character" knowledge. =D
GM: It is the requisite $5 per person.
Nick (Stinky Pete): kk. I pick the PC pauper's tab, also.
[w] Zach Dallas: I'll assume my first gambling roll and eating take up most of my time
Buddhist Monk: I am a mere traveler and student of the Zen Buddhism. I have worn many names over the years, you may call me "Yojimbo" if you feel a need for such trivialities as names.
[w] Zach Dallas: while this is up, I'll gather some interesting rumors, if I can find people who can speak English
[w] -> Zach Dallas: Yep, it will be 2000 by the time you are done. You can pick up rumors from other Anglos in the area.
Zach Dallas: Streetwise [1d6 = 11]
Buddhist Monk: Such generosity in a dark heart, how unexpected.
[w] Zach Dallas: interesting happenings recently
Buddhist Monk gives Stinky Pete a cryptic smile.
[w] -> Zach Dallas: Evidently some Anglo group angered the Shan Fan Triad and were wiped out. Their building was burned down. At least one member survived the attack and went into hiding.
Stinky Pete: I'm full of surprises
Uriel Iscariot: Hrm, interesting.
[w] Zach Dallas: any word on a name or location?
[w] -> Zach Dallas: The town sheriff might know more.
[w] Stinky Pete -> Uriel Iscariot: Ask about pennington. He likes you better
[w] Zach Dallas: name of the building?
Uriel Iscariot: Would you say that finding the Christ within you, the goal of Christianity, is the same as your concept of Jiriki?
[w] -> Zach Dallas: The sheriff's office?
[w] Zach Dallas: no, the one that got burned down
[w] Zach Dallas: lol
Buddhist Monk: Perhaps.
[w] -> Zach Dallas: The drunk you are talking to seems rather confused and tells you it was the "burned down" building.
Uriel Iscariot: Interesting. The more I study, the less I see our thinking as different.
Uriel Iscariot: I was infact, here looking for such a person who may be able to reconcile some such questions...do you know a man by the name of Pennington?
Buddhist Monk: Never heard of such a man, rather odd name, does not sound American.
Uriel Iscariot: Hrm. I was hoping I could find him where that building was....
Buddhist Monk laughs.
Stinky Pete: What was there, exactly?
Buddhist Monk: There are many buildings in town, you will need to be a bit more specific.
[w] Zach Dallas: that's an odd assumption to come to
Uriel Iscariot: The burnt out, destroied building wher we met near?
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): nice destroied
Buddhist Monk: Fires happen frequently in this town. That building belongs to some group of Anglos who offended the Shan Fan Triad.
Buddhist Monk: If they were friends of yours, my condolences.
Uriel Iscariot: I see. Much like my angry god, one does not offend the triad, lest you will find only death and misery
Buddhist Monk: Indeed
Uriel Iscariot: No idea where they could have gotten off to?
Buddhist Monk: No, I was not a witness nor a visitor to that place.
Buddhist Monk rises.
Buddhist Monk: It is time for me to return to the monastery for the night. I bid you a pleasant evening.
GM: Pete and Uriel notice that when this man stands up, all the Chinese in the room rise also, bow from the waist, and remain that way until he leaves.
Uriel Iscariot: Well.
Buddhist Monk walks out of the restaurant.
Uriel Iscariot: Interesting times, eh Pete?
GM: What would Pete and Uriel like to do now?
[w] -> Zach Dallas: You can make another gambling check.
Zach Dallas: Gambling [1d8 = 4]
Zach Dallas: Streetwise [1d4 = 2]
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): lol
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): nothing there
Stinky Pete: So, what do we do now? No one seems to know where it is
[w] -> Zach Dallas: You get an amazing $2 in winning after an hour.
Uriel Iscariot: Well, If you were an anglo, down on his luck, and got your crib burned and people were all up in yer grill
Uriel Iscariot: what would you do?
Stinky Pete: Keep it a better secret
Uriel Iscariot: I say this cat is still at large. Hes lurking in this maze.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): go back to your hotel and meet up with your friend Zach
TADM: Hire a Prostitute, I hear British guys have a thing for young Chinese women.
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): "We'd have to get "lucky" to "Score" one with ties to people who do know something.
TADM: ...refers back to earlier obligatory Elan quote.
Uriel Iscariot: Come, Pete.
Uriel Iscariot: LEts go back to the hotel
GM: Urial, Pete, and Zach meet up in the common room of the hotel.
TADM: (Uriel) sheesh!
Zach Dallas: Yo, what's up?
Zach Dallas: I got us a room
GM: The party has now reunited, ready to figure out the mystery to which they all have clues.
Zach Dallas: You two have to sign in, though
Nick (Stinky Pete): We do?
Even Perkier Chinese Desk Clerk: Hello, you with Eunuch?
Uriel Iscariot: I talked to a fantastic monk, who said only my own fear and desire keeps me out of the garden, not an eponymously named angel with a flaming sword.
Uriel Iscariot: It was truly enligtening.
Uriel Iscariot: How are you doing?
Zach Dallas: Ever think that they're the same thing?
Uriel Iscariot: Yes, I am with Eunuch. Have you tried a black pointy hat? That turns him on.
Zach Dallas hands Uriel $10
Zach Dallas: He would like 1 Happy Ending, please
Even Perkier Chinese Desk Clerk eyes grow wide.
Even Perkier Chinese Desk Clerk: Right away sir!
Zach Dallas: and I would like the key for the room
Zach Dallas: pushes Uriel toward the clerk
Zach Dallas: action:
Even Perkier Chinese Desk Clerk looks confused, as Zach Dallas already has a key.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): room number?
Uriel Iscariot: Hello perkier person, are you filled with the bliss of nirvana? Can you teach me the way of infintite compassion?
GM: 17
Even Perkier Chinese Desk Clerk: I am schooled in art of Tantric Sexual Meditation. You can go for four hours? Only $40 and it makes your eyeballs sweat.
Zach Dallas: Pete, let's go. We'll see if Uriel can recover from or avoid a deadly sin later on
Uriel Iscariot: Eyeballs sweat?
Stinky Pete: Alright
Uriel Iscariot: That...sounds painful.
Zach Dallas heads to the room
Zach Dallas: 17, Uriel. See you later
Even Perkier Chinese Desk Clerk: Yes, but when done you find new religion. I did two nights ago to another man, he kept screaming, "Madre De Dios" the entire time.
Stinky Pete: follows Zach
Even Perkier Chinese Desk Clerk looks enthusiatic.
Uriel Iscariot: Here's my 10$ Show me my room.
Even Perkier Chinese Desk Clerk takes $10, escorts you to a nice quiet room in the back filled with pillows and incense.
Even Perkier Chinese Desk Clerk: Okay, $10 is happy ending!
[w] Uriel Iscariot: Stun on the clerk.
Uriel Iscariot: Faith {+2 Conviction} [1d6+2 = 15]
Even Perkier Chinese Desk Clerk: Vigor [1d6 = 4]
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): ROFL
[w] Uriel Iscariot: GM then Light to blind.
Uriel Iscariot: Faith {+2 Conviction} +2 (Novice Power Penalty -2) [1d10 = 8]
Even Perkier Chinese Desk Clerk: Spirit [1d6 = 4]
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: Iscariot She is completely stupified and blinded.
[w] -> Zach Dallas: Uriel is probably also going to make her dress up in an Altar Boy costume.
[w] Uriel Iscariot: GM I Am URIEL, Angel of Light, agent of the LORD. Thy shalt tell me all thy knowest of a Man named Pennington. Check thy rosters and lists of all thy bordings, in this hotel and the next.
[w] Uriel Iscariot: GM you shall find this man, be him dead or alive.
[w] Zach Dallas -> Uriel Iscariot: I underestimated your cunning. I am bested. This time.
[w] Zach Dallas: I didn't think her smarts could get much lower...
[w] Uriel Iscariot: GM Do these things, and thy shall find deliverance from thy life of vice.
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: She walks out of the room and leaves for a while.
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: Iscariot She comes back about four hours later and mutters the words, "Sunrise House" before collapsing in a heap.
[w] Uriel Iscariot: GM Succour.
Uriel Iscariot: Faith {+2 Conviction} +2 (Seasoned Power -4) [1d10-2 = 20]
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): OMG
Zach Dallas dodges back, desperately attempting to avoid the wave of holy power eminating from Uriel
Stinky Pete: So any luck with you, Zach?
[w] -> Uriel Iscariot: She not only has a restful night's sleep, but she converts to Chrisitanity and founds a convent for former prostitutes who wish to see the light.
TADM: Uriel has now used his powers for GOOD and EVIL at the exact same time.
Zach Dallas: Just...a bit
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): does he have to make vigor checks?
TADM: Nah, I think even God would be amused. After all, if HE created the Duckbilled Platypus, HE must have a sense of humor.
Uriel Iscariot: Waits till morning to pick up the search.
GM: It is now the morning of February 20, 1880.
TADM: Not that you should worry at the fact that the date keeps being mentioned...
[w] Stinky Pete: Eats a pound of my bacon during the night, since I need meat, stupid vegetarians
Zach Dallas: So, did you guys find anything yesterday?
Uriel Iscariot: Yes. I know exactly where He is.
Zach Dallas: I take "No" is the proper answer, given that you came back
[w] -> Stinky Pete: Where do you get it from?
[w] Stinky Pete: Bought it at character creation. It's in my backpack
Uriel Iscariot: We shalt go there anon.
Zach Dallas: not talking about Him, I'm talking about the Explorers
[w] -> Stinky Pete: Okay, it is maggot filled and completely rotten.
Uriel Iscariot: We may as well start by finding one explorer, then the expedition.
Uriel Iscariot: No?
Zach Dallas: Why not just find the lodge?
[w] Stinky Pete: Good bacon can last the test of time. Flies and germs hate smoke and salt. Bacon has both. I'm not saying it'll last years, but a couple months should probably be okay
Zach Dallas: Isn't that what you guys went out to do?
[w] -> Stinky Pete: Yeah, but you think this is supernatural food destruction going on. It's the only explanation that makes sense.
Uriel Iscariot: Obedience is a virtue. We were told to seek the person, and so we shall. Do thy presume to know better than O'Malley?
[w] Stinky Pete: Oh dear. Hmmm very odd
Zach Dallas: O'Malley told us to go to Pennington
Stinky Pete: Wait...is there a branch of the paper out here?
Stinky Pete: Smarts [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6 = 5]
Stinky Pete is using a benny
Stinky Pete: Smarts [1d8 = 7]
Zach Dallas: Pennington is located at a lodge that is a meeting place for the very group we're trying to find?
Tack (Uriel Iscariot): You are probably looking for the tombstone epitaph
GM: Yes, you can find copies of the Tombstone Epitaph in the common room of the hotel. Only $1 per issue.
Stinky Pete: leaves to buy a paper
GM: The Tombstone Epitaph has no Branch Offices in Shan Fan that you know about.
Uriel Iscariot: Try, Find a bellhop. Ask:"Where can I find the place known as Sunrise House" If tells: Tip, If not tells: No Tip
Zach Dallas: What the heck, what are you guys doing?
Bellhop points you to the Hotel-Only place that was mentioned yesterday that has rooms for the low-low cost of $50/night.
Stinky Pete: scans paper for a) HUGE, EPIC info
Stinky Pete: b) messages for us
Stinky Pete: c) hints to new location of the Society
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): hurrdurr
Uriel Iscariot: Come, I am ensuring the light of this world is not smothered by darkness.
GM: Pete finds none of those.
Stinky Pete: Notice {+2 Alertness(S)} [1d6+2 = 18]
Stinky Pete: Smarts [1d8 = 7]
Uriel Iscariot: We must go to Sunrise House.
Nick (Stinky Pete): awww
Zach Dallas: What? Wait, is that where Pennington is?
Zach Dallas: That's the expensive place
Uriel Iscariot: Shakes his head twitchingly.
Zach Dallas: ??
Uriel Iscariot: Yah. Where do you expect to find someone like that?
Uriel Iscariot: Didn't Pete tell you anything of what we saw?
Uriel Iscariot: Guys gotta be in hiding.
Zach Dallas: Well, I was thinking someplace inconspicuous that could house travellers who need a hand
Zach Dallas: Why?
Zach Dallas: Wait, what happened to them?
Uriel Iscariot: We hath no time for chat. Even now, evil is moving.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): OK, you said "Don't go to Pennington". Just remember that
TADM: Black Pawn moves, E3 to E4.
Kazemi (Zach Dallas): black pawn moves, E3 to D3
TADM: Right Lancer moves, H1 to H7.
Zach Dallas: screw this
TADM: Wait, what game were you playing?
[w] Zach Dallas: Hunching Uriel. What did he find out yesterday that he's only hinting at?
Zach Dallas smacks uriel
Zach Dallas: Spellcasting [1d6 = 15]
Uriel Iscariot: Wha....OUCH!
[w] -> Zach Dallas: The Explorer's Society lodge burned down and supposedly the survivors are at the Sunrise House.
[w] Zach Dallas: where did they hear the last bit from, any hint?
[w] -> Zach Dallas: Evidently the Explorer's Society angered the Shan Fan Triad.
[w] Zach Dallas: seriously, I missed that part
[w] -> Zach Dallas: You have no idea. Although you think it was a shiny being of light.
Zach Dallas: You're an idiot
Uriel Iscariot: WHY>
Zach Dallas: How did you find out they went there?
Campaign saved.
