Matsuda Kazuko runs back, picks up Chiri, comes back with Chiri slung over one shoulder.

The group heads past the crumbled remains of the guards and down another short corridor before coming to an expansive and impressively well-lit circular chamber. The walls and ceiling are tiled in a completely unknown metal that seems to pulse with its own light. A number of robed skeletal servants move items from one brazier to the next while Tume stands in the center of the room, holding Yukiko's inert form in place with one hand and with a black knife poised above her head. Several ghosts and heavily armored skeletons turn to face the group as Tume orders, "Do not let them interfere."
Kazuhiko glares at Kuutai
Matsuda Kazuko: All right, save the girl, save the world, etc. etc. Ready old friend?
Kuutai: Always ready!
Matsuda Kazuko gives Kuutai a, "Been here, done this," look.
Kazemi (Kazuhiko): Are these the same super-arrow shooting skelies as last time?
Sensei: Notice checks.

None of the skeletons have bows, but they are all in traditional heavy armor and wielding black no-dachi that seem to absorb all light. Kuutai wants one...
There are 6 skeletons and 3 ghosts, along with Tume and 3 skeletal-priests.
Nick (Hida Sashimi): I think we should target the priests first
Matsuda Kazuko: So...plan...or are we charging in? I'd say we have a grand total of 6 seconds of game time before go time.
Matsuda Kazuko: (That was OOC, of course)
Masakari (Kuutai): I want to be a hero today...I want....To make this world a better place, and defeat evil where it stands!
Kazemi (Kazuhiko): What sort of banners are there?
Kazemi (Kazuhiko): any decorations other than the fire?
There are no banners and other than the stone braziers forming a circle around Yukiko, no decorations to speak of in this place. You do notice that the strange wall tiling is covered in what looks like petroglyphs.
Masakari (Kuutai): 'erez da plan boyz....Wait..Okay, so Imma try to grab the sacrifical dagger, and buff the hell out of Kazuko. I don't see a better first few actions...

Four of the braziers are lit and the priests are walking slowly towards the fifth one while chanting something.
Masakari (Kuutai): Or....put those fires out...
Nick (Hida Sashimi): How many braziers? If we stop them, or destroy it, we might be good
Kazemi (Kazuhiko): Super-nuke all the priests
Kazuhiko pulls out a pouch
Kazuhiko: Shall we trip all of the rune-traps?
Masakari (Kuutai): oooo. scarry.
Hida Sashimi: It's your funeral
Kazuhiko flings the marbles outward, spreading them across the room
Hida Sashimi: Survival [Critical failure!] [1d4 = 1]
Nick (Hida Sashimi): ignore that
The marbles strike the ground and roll across the floor...for about 2 centimeters each, then the pulsing from the various tiles turns into a solid beam of light that reduces the marbles to small little oil stains as it sweeps along the floor in an arc.
Matsuda Kazuko: Okay, that would be painful.
The priests reach the fifth brazier and begin chanting and tossing items into it.
Kuutai: The time for waiting is long past...let's end this.
Gimli: I cannot jump the distance, you'll have to toss me.
Nick (Hida Sashimi): Not the beard!
Tume: Okay, who let the dwarf in?
Kuutai: Okay, Its only natural, you are very dangerous over short distances.
Kazemi (Kazuhiko): Q.Q

A trio of bolts flies from Kuutai and strikes three of the braziers. The fires in them sputter and diminsh, but are not extinguished.
TADM: This strikes me as....Initiative time.

The Blood Skeletons with their heavy armor and black no-dachi's surge towards the group. They cover the distance impossibly quickly, you actually do not even see them move, it is almost like they just phase out of existence, then back in where they need to be to attack.

Sensei: The guards are about 2 meters tall and you would guess would weigh about 320 pounds if they were humans and had all the extra gooey bits.

Everyone seems to notice Kazuhiko's missing hand lying on the ground by Yukiko at the same time. First, it flips upright and extends its middle finger at Kuutai. Then, it begins stroking and fondling her leg in a very disturbing and "you are about to go to jail for pedophilia" kind of way. Lastly, it begins crawling up her body in a "five-legged" spider kind of way, making sure to take advantage of every lecherous "foothold" it can find.
Matsuda Kazuko: Kazuhiko, when this fight is over, I'm going to kill you.

Two of the priests not only do not catch fire, they do not even notice that the wood chopsticks hit them. The third priest you manage to catch exactly in the right spot in his robe and he ignites like dry tinder struck by lightning and collapses into dust in a matter of seconds. The other two priests pause, look at the pile of ash and begin intoning a new prayer.
The ghosts fly out to surround Kuutai and all shriek and claw at him.

Corpse-zuki steps out from the shadows and fires his handgun into Hida's back. Fortunately, he did not load it correctly, so the bullet merely bounces off Hida's layers of "fluffiness."

The priests finish chanting and the destroyed one reforms. They shuffle over to the fifth brazier and restart the ritual.
Nick (Hida Sashimi): crap
Tume begins chanting with them.
Nick (Hida Sashimi): What are the braziers made of? Could they be destroyed or tipped over?
Kazemi (Kazuhiko): crap
The braziers are made of stone, it looks like they are not anchored to the floor.
Matsuda Kazuko attacks the last heavy armored skeleton.

Matsuda Kazuko is rather surprised that she missed.
The ghosts continue their relentless onslaught of Kuutai.

Kuutai's ears begin to bleed and he feels a fever coming on...

Sensei: Actually, that hits because he rolled even worse on his opposed Agility check.

However, since Kazuhiko is not trying to mentally control his hand, it has taken this opportunity to crawl inside Yukiko's kimono and seems to be latched on to one of her breasts.

Kazuhiko hits the guard and it staggers backwards, rather shaken.

Kuutai has been awarded a benny
The Celestial Staff was created in the Celestial Palace and is forged of an unknown white wood. It is proven to destroy to oni and undead creatures quite impressively.
TADM: It is most definitely an otherworldly creation...

Kazuhiko: [2d6 = 3]
Kazemi (Kazuhiko): by the kami....
Kuutai swings down on Tume and the Skeletal Lord dodges, but misjudges what would happen if he did. Kuutai brings the staff down on Yukiko's right arm, and there is a horrible crack noise as he appears to shatter her shoulder. There is a burst of white light and Kazuhiko's animated hand is burned to cinders. Yukiko pitches face first to the ground as Tume loses his grip on her.
Tume: NOOO!!!!!
Kazuhiko: NOOOOO!
Tume swings the dagger at Yukiko's head as she falls away from him, but misses badly.
Kazuhiko: DEACTIVATE THE TRAPS
Corpse-zuki

Corpse-zuki drops his pistol and runs forward into the room, throwing himself on Yukiko.

Corpse-zuki is also not incinerated by the traps when he enters the room.

TADM: I get the feeling this campaign may be determined by initiative next round.

Tume's hand snaps backwards, while he manages to maintain the grip on the dagger, it is now in a position where it is much more threatening to Kuutai than Yukiko.

Tume drops to his knees from Kuutai's blow, the dagger goes spinning across the floor. His eyes burst into a flaming red glow and he looks at Kuutai with a gaze that reads, "You better hope the dice gods favor you a lot on my action."

Kuutai feels his soul rip free from his body and he sees a whitish mist begins running down Tume's arm like a trickle of blood from his neck...then it diverts and dribbles on to the ground before flowing across the floor and over to the Widowmaker that is resting at Kazuko's hip.

Kazuhiko rushes across the distance between himself and Tume, running off of the wall, ricocheting off of the brazier, and flinging himself at Tume. The weight of his kusari-gama hits the flames of the brazier, lighting on fire. He raises his sickle into the air and brings it down toward Tume

Tume brings Kuutai around to block Kazuhiko's attack, but Kazuhiko was actually using the weight and not the sickle for the attack. The sickle gets buried into Kuutai's back, but the weight flings around Kuutai and smashes into Tume's outstretched arm. The impact of the weight and Kazuhiko's body into Kuutai causes Tume's arm to snap and Kuutai, Kazuhiko, and his arm to drop to the ground and skid to the edge of the brazier circle. Kuutai gurgles in pain as a kusari sickle tears a large gaping hole in one of his lungs.

Hida takes a few steps back, then runs forward and leaps through the air. Unfortunately, he completely mis-times his jump and runs about three feet into the room and then does sort of a "duck jump" about another two and a half feet forward. The beam of searing light slices through the air and hits Hida....but....other than the smell of roasting meat, nothing seems to happen. Hida stumbles forward a few more feet trying to catch his balance as the beam of searing light continues to slowly roast his back (up to a toasty 110 degrees F right now) and staggers into a brazier. Both it and the large man tip over as he grabs the thing in an attempt to steady himself and succeeds in knocking it over. It is about the most graceless thing Kazuhiko has ever seen.
Tume: NOOOO!!!!!!
Kazuhiko: I give it a 3/10
Tume: You idiot, have you any idea what you have just done?
Hida Sashimi: Bowled over the opposition?
The skeletal priests turn to Hida and he swears they are nodding in approval of his actions.

The Celestial Staff flies upright and smashes into Tume's chest. He flies backwards and gets pinned against the wall as arcs of white lightning stream from the staff and lacerate him.

Kazemi (Kazuhiko): Are the priests doing this?
The priests vanish into clouds of smoke. In the center of the room, a large black orb of energy appears. A creature steps through it...

Masakari (Kuutai): But there was no blood and souls? Darkness cannot be summoned without the blood and souls! Nooo!

Inigo Montoya: Let me explain...no...there is too much, let me sum up.
Inigo Montoya: Tume is evidently dead, but only after his ritual to sacrifice Yukiko went awry and summoned some sort of thing through a portal to Anoyou.
Inigo Montoya: Yukiko is alive, but her right shoulder was shattered when SOMEONE smashed it with the Celestial Staff.
Inigo Montoya: Kuutai is alive, more or less, since he has a large sucking chest wound and extreme hand twitching going on. (As in, a -5 penalty)
Inigo Montoya: Kazuhiko is alive, more or less, since he has a large sucking abdomen wound that kind of matches the puncture type of Kuutai's large sucking chest wound.
Inigo Montoya: Kazuko and Sashimi are mostly unharmed at this point.
Inigo Montoya: There are Corpse-zuki chunks scattered all over the floor.
Inigo Montoya: And Daichi has just staggered down the steps, with a splitting headache and a vague sense that he is probably dead.
Inigo Montoya: Ah yes, I forgot...Daichi notices that Sashimi is actually on fire, but he has not have noticed yet.
Daichi (Naganese): Hida, my god, you are on fire!

Kazuhiko: Yukiko, I know this might be a bit much for you, but is there anything you can do to heal Kuutai?
Yukiko: I...I can...but...
