The group arrives in the small village that Yama was directing them to, only to find Akemi and Hida waiting for them.

Yama leads the group about two miles from the village, down a narrow path into an ancient glade. A pool of crystal clear water is in the middle of the glade. The entire area radiates a sense of peace and serenity that no one has experienced in a long time.

Yama squats down in the forest outside the and begins carving something into a small block of wood.
Yama: You go, Hebiko come into glade shortly.
Kazuki: I don't think so, Issiko was hardly honest

The pool in the glade is about six feet deep and so clear you can see individual white pebbles at the bottom of it. Animals look at the group cautiously from the edge of the glade.
Nick (Hida Sashimi): Just like most other campaigns lol

TADM: The animals have all heard the stories about what happens to their kindred whenever Tack is involved.
Masakari (Kuutai): but I wuv animals.

A woman walks into the glade, she is a little under five feet in height and weighs perhaps 90 pounds. She is clad in a black silk suit with silk slippers. Her hair is tied back in a pony tail that is long enough that it wraps around her, disturbingly in the same manner that a snake would lounge in the sun. Her skin is very pale and white...and looks a bit weird.

Daichi gets in the pool and submerges. A burning and gnawing sensation tears at his lower jaw. He rears back out of the pool as a thin gossamer mask tears from his face. It falls back into the pool and vanishes with a hiss. Daichi sinks beneath the water and bobs to the surface. He crawls out, panting and gasping for breath. He does look physically much better than before.
Kuutai: Well, that's good news.

Okay, so the group heads out to find Ikuko. With Kazuki leading the way it only takes about an hour to find her.

Daichi rushes to Ikuko and wraps in her in one of her robes.
Akemi runs over and whispers something to Ikuko. Then hands her a needle and some thread.

Akemi: Well, I can cook something. I'm actually starving. I could eat a Hida.

The night passes uneventfully, despite Ikuko's best efforts to cause a TPK. The next morning Yama is crunching on some roots as everyone else gets ready.

Yama directs the group up the mountains.

Yama: We heading for peaks, should take three, maybe four days to climb.
Yama skilfully leads the group into the mountains, and it seems that your excellent gear is very valuable in helping the group ascend. The first day passes with little incident and the discovery of nothing more threatening than a hungry deer.
TADM: Patiently waits for Kuutai to somehow end up turning this into a hostile encounter...

Everyone makes the first day's climb without any trouble. Akemi is not feeling well and remains behind in the camp while the rest of the group forges on ahead. The next morning you rise and head higher into the mountains. The wind gets cold and your breaths begin misting by midafternoon.
