Savage Worlds Ruleset for Fantasy Grounds II
(c) 2009 Pinnacle Entertainment Group.
GM: Okay, everyone remember where we are?
GM: I think the best term was, "Vietcong Arachnomancers"
Colwyn O'Reilly scratches his head and does his best "James Dean"
GM: Colwyn loses 5 XP for quoting a Mellencamp song.
Colwyn O'Reilly: nuts
Tyran Drenski thinks Colwyn is crazy
In spite of your huge number of precautions and the elaborate collection of chicken-equipped booby-traps, the night passes uneventfully.
John (Randall Breckenridge): what the cluck?
Shortly after daybreak, the radio buzzes to life and Corbin answers it. Lt. Harbin has a conversation with Sgt. Almareth. After about ten minutes, the Sgt comes out of the village headman's hut.
Ranger Richard: Better luck tomorrow night
Sergeant Almareth: Listen up soldiers, scouts reported VC about five clicks north of here.
Sergeant Almareth: We are going to head north, locate, and radio back to base once we find them.
Ranger Richard: How many VC did they spot?
Sergeant Almareth: A platoon.
Tyran Drenski: Any chance they are responsible for the spider stuff hanging about?
Colwyn O'Reilly: Did they mention the "AOUS's"? (arachinds of unusual size)
Sergeant Almareth: The VC could be responsible for the spider stuff, but there was no mention of Arachnids of unusual size. (he grins)
Sergeant Almareth: A couple of our platoons are loading up and heading this way on hueys.
Randall Breckenridge: sounds good
Colwyn O'Reilly: (under breath) didn't think they would
Tyran Drenski: Expecting the worst serg?
Ranger Richard: what are we doing with the civvies?
Sergeant Almareth: There is a chopper coming to the village to pick up the civvies.
Tyran Drenski: Good don't need that reporter around....ever
Sergeant Almareth: I'd like to get a head start on finding the VC. So once that chopper shows up, the rest of our squad will be on board.
Tyran Drenski: Hooah serg
Colwyn O'Reilly: yes sarge
Sergeant Almareth: We're sending the civvies back with private Phoenix, who seems to have developed a bad case of Dien Bien Flu.
TADM: Yes. I am mocking the French. No. I am not mocking Zach.
Sergeant Almareth: Until that chopper gets here, look sharp people. Get back to your foxholes and keep a sharp eye. The report of VC was a couple hours old, so if they were headed here, they could show up any minute.
Colwyn O'Reilly: yes sarge
Tyran Drenski to his foxhole grumbling , loaded with ammo and snacks
Colwyn O'Reilly heads to his foxhole
GM: Everyone make Notice rolls.
Colwyn O'Reilly: Notice [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6 = 4]
Tyran Drenski: Notice [1d4 = 3]
Ranger Richard: Notice [1d6 = 11]
Randall Breckenridge: Notice {+2 Alertness} [1d6+2 = 7]
GM: None of you see any encroaching VC.
GM: You do hear an incoming chopper though.
Corporal Withers gathers the civvies together. The chopper lands and a couple of additional soldiers get off to fill out the squad while the civvies and private Phoenix climb on and return to base.
Tyran Drenski packs up his stuff and heads to where the chopper is landing
Colwyn O'Reilly packs off to the bird, keeping his eyes open
Colwyn O'Reilly: walking with all this crap roll [1d20-15 = -11]
After the chopper takes off and heads south, Sergeant Almareth gets everyone together.
Sergeant Almareth: Okay, spread out and keep your spacing even. Richard you have point, keep your eyes open.
Sergeant Almareth: Withers you have our tail, keep Alberts and Hogpile in the back.
Ranger Richard: 10-4, moving out on a 0 degree azimuth
Tyran Drenski: Hoaah serg
Corporal Withers: Hooah sarge
Colwyn O'Reilly: yes sarge
E-2 Hogpile: build fortifications, take fortifications down, walk around with M60 in jungle. sigh
Tyran Drenski: it's a mental game hogpile, some gov project I'm sure
Fortunately as it is just after daybreak, the day is not that hot yet. Also, there are no clouds in the sky and the air is not that humid. It is actually a decent day, weatherwise.
Asher (Colwyn O'Reilly): one day, in about forty years, a vietnamese woman will trip in a foxhole and sue us for putting it there.... then we'll have to label them all with signs... just like coffee
E-2 Hogpile: Of that I'm sure.
Sergeant Almareth: Move out.
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): LMAO
Colwyn O'Reilly: yessahge
TADM: Do they put the "blade rotates when engine is running" sign on Helicopter?
Ranger Richard: checks map and moves north
Randall Breckenridge: Sounds like you haven been soldierin a whole lot, Hogpile. Wha else did yew spect?i
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): yes...signs for the dumb
E-2 Hogpile: Well Marine, I expect some occasional firing of this heavy piece of equipment.
Colwyn O'Reilly follows the formation in the third position back
The squad heads north, Richard carefully picking a trail through the dense underbrush.
Ranger Richard: Im sure its coming hogpile-I always say it happens when you arent anticipating it.
Tyran Drenski follows and stays alert
GM: Notice checks please.
Ranger Richard: Notice [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6 = 3]
Tyran Drenski: Notice [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6 = 5]
Randall Breckenridge: Notice {+2 Alertness} [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6+2 = 3]
Colwyn O'Reilly: Notice [1d4 = 6]
Ranger Richard: cant be a good sigh\n w/ all these natural 1s
Colwyn O'Reilly: it's bad with the scout rolls a natural one
GM: Almareth's Squad: Notice [1d6 = 4]
GM: Sergeant Almareth: Notice {+2 Alertness} [1d6+2 = 7]
Tyran, who is third in line, sees Sergeant Almareth stop and start sniffing at the air.
Randall Breckenridge: Ah see lots o bushes
Tyran Drenski: What is it sarg?
Ranger Richard: looks at Colwyn as he walks into trees
Tyran Drenski stop and smells
Colwyn smells some sort of strange fish odor in the distance, sort of like the smell on the docks of a fishing village about dusk.
TADM: In other words, a pretty nasty fish smell.
Sergeant Almareth: (motions for everyone to drop and remain silent)
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): sardines?
Ranger Richard: smell of people who are eating fish?
Colwyn O'Reilly drops and makes army hand signals for "brothel, 2 klicks east"
Tyran Drenski takes a knee
Ranger Richard: goes prone
Ranger Richard: behind tree
Sergeant Almareth: (gestures for Hogpile and Alberts to crawl forward)
Colwyn O'Reilly: prone... prone is good... not in a ditch though
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): or in mud or swaps
Ranger Richard: or a pig pen
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): or something that just died
Randall Breckenridge kneels behind tree, watching flanks
Tyran Drenski: (whispers to Colwyn) think the spiders smell like rotting fish?
Colwyn O'Reilly shakes his head
Tyran Drenski: (whispers) or the locals?
Colwyn O'Reilly in a vigourous "no" fashin
Colwyn O'Reilly shrugs
Colwyn O'Reilly: initiative [1d20-2 = 9]

Colwyn O'Reilly: is hogpile still alive?
GM: You will need to run to where he is to check on him, which will require a multi-action penalty on the heal check.
Colwyn O'Reilly: [1d6 = 4]
You reach Alberts and Hogpile. Alberts has taken over the M60. Hogpile is lying next to him.

Tyran Drenski
Tyran Drenski: Shooting: M79 G. Launch [1d8 = 6]
GM: You land the Grenade right on target!
Tyran Drenski: M79 G. Launch damage [3d6 = 21]
Okay, somehow Tyran manages to land the Grenade right at the feet of one VC. His buddy runs over to push him out of the way. The grenade explodes. You see little Vietnamese hats go sailing through the air.
Colwyn O'Reilly
Tyran Drenski does a very small and short victory dance
Colwyn O'Reilly: how does alberts look?
E-2 Alberts: I'm fine. I was shouting Medic for Hogpile.
VC Regular: Spirit [1d6 = 5]
Sergeant Almareth: Good shooting soldier. Nice hit with that grenade.
Colwyn O'Reilly: good. is hogpile in stable enough condition that I stop tending him? or does he need more bandaids?
GM: Hogpile is as stable as you can make him outside of a field hospital.
Colwyn O'Reilly: okay... then I unsling my rifle and shoot at that last fish smelling guy
Colwyn O'Reilly: Shooting: M1 Carbine [1d6 = 11]
Colwyn O'Reilly: M1 Carbine damage [Raise] [3d6-1 = 13]

Randall Breckenridge: Good one!
Ranger Richard: any left
Corporal Withers: Looks like we got them all.
Corporal Withers: How's Hogpile?
Tyran Drenski: Was there more than one platoon?
Tyran Drenski: in the area?
Sergeant Almareth: Yeah, that was one squad. There are probably about 40 more coming this way.
Sergeant Almareth: Especially with all the gunfire and explosions.
Sergeant Almareth: Almareth's Squad: Vigor [1d6 = 16]
E-2 Hogpile: Aw hell man. I feel great.
E-2 Hogpile: You did a great job healing me there doc.
E-2 Hogpile: (and I just rolled a 16 on my Vigor check)
Ranger Richard: how far out are our reinforcements?
E-3 Kenner: Command says 10-15 minutes we are going to have a lot of friendlies.
Tyran Drenski: Camping out or going back to camp?
Colwyn O'Reilly smiles at hogpile...
Ranger Richard: Sgt should we move up to dead and do quick search or pull back?
Colwyn O'Reilly: got a bird comin' to take ye back to camp and get you some r'n'r
Randall Breckenridge: Ah vote fer displace and hold until our freinds show up
Sergeant Almareth: Richard and I will go ahead and do a quick search. Everyone else find really good cover and watch north where this last group came from.
Colwyn O'Reilly: yes sarge... randall, can you help me move hogpile back a ways?
Ranger Richard: any claymores to set out ?
Tyran Drenski: Got two where you want em?
E-3 Bookworm: Yeah, I'll go place mine. I hope Tyran remembered to get his from the village so some little kid does not play with them.
Ranger Richard: or chickens
Tyran Drenski: I never leave good explosives behind
Corporal Withers: Place them out on the flanks, about 10 yards out. Just in case someone comes crawling towards us.
Tyran Drenski places, wires, and primes his claymores
E-3 Bookworm: (does the same thing)
Randall Breckenridge helps move Hogpile
GM: Richard make a Notice check while you search the bodies.
GM: Sergeant Almareth: Notice {+2 Alertness} [1d6+2 = 7]
Colwyn O'Reilly: thanks randall... head back up, I can handle hogpile till the birds get here
Ranger Richard: Notice [1d6 = 17]
Tyran Drenski lays in prone by a rock and keeps an eye out for more unfriendly.
TADM: Holy crap Richard.
Ranger Richard: finally a good roll!
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): He noticed six new plants.....
Let's see. You find three teeth with gold fillings. Found two new species of plants. Three of the VC did not have enough fiber in their diet. Two of them had nagging wives. You locate not only all of their weapons and ammo, but also can identify what factory they came from and what their date of manufacture was.
Plus you spot some thin trailing webs in the canopy that look like the spider webbing from before, but these are just trailers, not actual webs.
Sergeant Almareth: And I felt pretty good with my 7.
Ranger Richard: alright
The webs look more like single strands than actual webs.
Ranger Richard: reload a fresh mag and put used one in another pouch
E-3 Bookworm: Almareth's Squad: Notice [1d6 = 5]
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): When spiders attack....
GM: Tyran make a Notice roll also.
Tyran Drenski: Notice [1d6 = 5]
[w] -> Tyran Drenski: You think you saw some movement, about 300 meters out, coming towards the left flank of the squad.
[w] -> Tyran Drenski: You did not get a good look at it, but it was definitely not a giant spider.
John (Randall Breckenridge): did he find the paper slips that said "INSPECTED BY #7' too?
TADM: Yep.
Tyran Drenski: (Calls out) Hey we got movement about 300 meters out, can't tell what thou
John (Randall Breckenridge): ...........
Tyran Drenski: It's coming up on our left flank
Sergeant Almareth: (whispers) Richard, get back to the line and get ready. I'm going to go see what is out there.
Ranger Richard: can we call for any arty out that far sarge?
Sergeant Almareth: Yes.
Colwyn O'Reilly looks up at tyran
Sergeant Almareth: Sergeant Almareth: Stealth [1d6 = 9]
Colwyn O'Reilly: hogpile... get your pistol out... shout if you need anything. birds'll be here soon
E-2 Hogpile: You got it doc.
Colwyn O'Reilly makes sure iv bag is hung and hogpile not bleed profusely anywhere before heading up to the rest of the squad
E-2 Hogpile: No really. I feel better. I think I'll go for a walk.
E-2 Hogpile: I feel like singing.
E-2 Hogpile: I feel happy!
Tyran Drenski raises an eyebrow
Colwyn O'Reilly looks around for a cart to throw him on
Ranger Richard: what did you give him morphine?
Colwyn O'Reilly: yeah
Colwyn O'Reilly: lots of it
[w] -> Ranger Richard: Sarge takes about ten steps away from you, heading in the direction of where Tyran pointed. You are not sure how it happens, but you lose sight of him after that.
Colwyn O'Reilly: four doses, apparently
E-2 Hogpile: There once was a man from Nantucket...
Colwyn O'Reilly: mebbe he needs more
Tyran Drenski: Tell him to sing quitely...
Colwyn O'Reilly retrieves whiskey flask of holding and dumps some down hogpile's throat
Ranger Richard: ok-head back to line and set up like he ordered
Tyran Drenski: Anyone see anything else. I don't want any surprise VC hanging out.
Randall Breckenridge: setting up and looking out
GM: Everyone make Notice checks.
Tyran Drenski: Notice [1d4 = 7]
GM: Almareth's Squad: Notice [1d6 = 3]
Colwyn O'Reilly: Notice [1d6 = 11]
Ranger Richard: Notice [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6 = 8]
Randall Breckenridge: Notice {+2 Alertness} [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6+2 = 3]
Ranger Richard: hmmmm is gm prepping next cbt map
Everyone except Randall sees a squad of VC approaching from the north, and another one from the northeast. They are crouching and doing a good job of hiding in cover, but you manage to spot them as they hit small clearings and the sun highlights them. Your rough guess is that the rest of the platoon is approaching. Assuming that the movement Tyran saw to the northwest was another squad, you are outnumbered about 5:1 now.
E-3 Kenner: Friendlies incoming in five minutes.
E-3 Kenner: They are going to land in a clearing about 200 yards back.
Tyran Drenski: If we last that long. Are we getting air strikes?
E-2 Alberts: Maybe we should give them a chance to surrender?
Randall Breckenridge: Do we need to protect it?
Corporal Withers: I'd say yes Randall.
Corporal Withers: We pull back from here, move Hogpile, and get some more ground between us and them. Buy ourselves some time.
E-3 Bookworm: Right. I'm leaving my claymores right where they are if you don't mind.
Corporal Withers: Okay.
Randall Breckenridge: any of the squads walking into the claymore kill zones?
Tyran Drenski: hooah I just gotta pick up my mines
Ranger Richard: any sign of teh sarge
Tyran Drenski: or should I leave them?
E-3 Bookworm: The squad to the northeast is going to walk right into mine if they don't spot them. Looks like nothing is going to trigger Drenski's mines.
Colwyn O'Reilly: i'll start moving hogpile now
E-2 Alberts: I'll help Colwyn.
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): Do I have trip wires or are the standard single det?
GM: Tripwires.
Randall Breckenridge: Kin we lure some into Tyran's kill zones by someone shootin an scootin?
Corporal Withers: Possibly. Anyone want to volunteer for that?
Tyran Drenski: do we want them to know we are here or should we pick up the mines and be steath...or kill all we can?
Randall Breckenridge: Ah kin
Tyran Drenski: I like Randall's thought
Corporal Withers: Alright Marine. Good luck to you.
Randall Breckenridge: Ah say blow bookworms, then I shoot and get them into the others
Tyran Drenski check his trip wires and clears out with colwyn
Colwyn O'Reilly is moving hogpile back as stealthly as possible
Ranger Richard: Ranger Richard can partner with Randall to fall back as abuddy team
Corporal Withers: Alright. Drenski, Bookworm, Randall coordinate the mines. Then Drenski and Bookworm scoot.
Corporal Withers: Richard and the Marine fall back as a buddy team.
Tyran Drenski sets his mines
Randall Breckenridge: Aye
Corporal Withers: Alberts you haul the M60 back. Kenner you are assistant MG for Alberts. Move the gear back and get it setup.
Ranger Richard: The sarge did not leave us an OOTWA
Corporal Withers: I'll help O'Reilly carry Hogpile. Since he's bigger than anyone here except for the Marine.
Ranger Richard: GOTWA
Randall Breckenridge: Y'all gonna hav to translate for this Marine
Tyran Drenski: Mine are good to go, got it to lead them in deep before is goes off.
Ranger Richard: Where he is going, others he is taking with, time to be gone, what to do if he takes contact and actions we will take on contact.
GM: Yes.
GM: I did that intentionally. Because,. despite the fact that he is a sergeant, not providing any of that information is perfectly in character for him.
Ranger Richard: daggone leadres always leaving the soldiers to ponder
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): he like to disappear to
GM: Which is why Withers is coordinating and moving everyone along. Because Withers knows this about Sarge.
Ranger Richard: he must have acloak of invisibility
TADM: It's like a cunning plan or something.
Tyran Drenski: he is always missin go a death wish, That one does
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): "got" not go
Almost as if on cue with Tyran's statement, there is a loud shout and a lot of firing from the northwest, where Tyran first saw contact.
Ranger Richard: promotion time
The VC to the north and northwest stop in their tracks, then begin running towards the sound of combat.
Colwyn O'Reilly: Giant spider attack! oh wait, they aren't real. Maybe if I put this towel over my head they won't be able to see me, because I can't see them
Tyran Drenski: (whispers) Stupid!!!
Corporal Withers: Okay folks, fall back now. You know the plan.
Tyran Drenski: Where is the LZ?
Corporal Withers: Richard and the Marine fall back as a team. Everyone else straight south.
Colwyn O'Reilly: 200 yards back in a clearing
Corporal Withers: Move it people. Now.
Colwyn O'Reilly is already halfway there
E-3 Bookworm: I'm a moving it corporal.
Tyran Drenski does as instructed
E-3 Kenner: Me too!
E-2 Alberts: Me three!
There is a lot more gun fire, and you hear a couple of grenade explosions to the north east. All of the words you hear are people shouting in Vietnamese.
Everyone makes it back to the LZ and sets up a perimeter.
Richard and Randall wait by the claymores to detonate them, but the VC no longer seem to be coming this direction.
The sounds of gun fire and random explosions continue for another couple minutes.
Randall Breckenridge: emote (whispers) shouldn't we check on Sarge?
Randall Breckenridge: oops
E-3 Kenner: Friendlies incoming in three minutes.
Colwyn O'Reilly: someone should
Tyran Drenski: Sounds like the VC have thier hands full are we sure there isn't more friendlies around?
GM: Randall and Richard, make Notice checks.
Randall Breckenridge: Notice {+2 Alertness} [1d6+2 = 9]
Ranger Richard: Notice [Trait roll was a natural 1] [1d6 = 4]
Colwyn O'Reilly: didn't someone say something about a native tribe that hates the VC? the Degans for something?
That would be the Degar.
And yes, they hate the VC and would attack on sight.
Tyran Drenski: I know there are two VC platoons but I'm thinking the third is againist the VC but I hope they are on our side.
Tyran Drenski finds cover and scans
GM: Richard does not see anything, but Randall spots Sarge and another Vietnamese man, (carrying an M1 Garand) crouching behind a low rise, staring at something to the northwest.
GM: Those back at the LZ do not see anything going on, but you hear the distant sounds of gunfire.
Randall Breckenridge: watch for any others approaching
GM: About a minute later, the sound of combat dies down entirely.
Tyran Drenski: I hate the sound of silance
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): "Silence" can't spell tonight
Several more Vietnamese, carrying AK-47s move up next to Sarge and the other Vietnamese guy and begin talking quietly.
Sarge hands one of them a couple packets of cigarettes and then moves back toward Randall and Richard.
Sergeant Almareth: Good thing Drenski spotted those Degar.
Ranger Richard: watch teh claymore wires sarge!
Sergeant Almareth: (nods and steps over them)
Sergeant Almareth: That would have been one really bad friendly fire incident.
Randall Breckenridge: good teh see you sarge, and with friends
Sergeant Almareth: Good to see you Marine.
Colwyn O'Reilly pops whatever smoke is needed for landing birds
Ranger Richard: the rest went back to lz until reinforcements land
Sergeant Almareth: Good thinking.
Ranger Richard: what is next plan
Sergeant Almareth: Let's pick up these claymores and get back to the LZ.
Ranger Richard: 10-4
Sergeant Almareth: The Degar are going to sweep a little farther north of here, but they tell me the other VC have scooted already.
Sergeant Almareth: (retrieves claymores)
Ranger Richard: will we link up with them later or do they operate on their own?
Sergeant Almareth: Oh, I'm sure we will see them later.
Sergeant Almareth: Big problem is, they don't speak any English and their Vietnamese is a dialect that is pretty much incomprehensible to the ARVNs.
Sergeant Almareth: So they don't coordinate really well with us. Decent number of them speak French though.
The choppers come in for a landing.
Tyran Drenski: Heads up the birds are here
[w] Tyran Drenski: did the radio person tell them its a hot zone so they repell in?
Ranger Richard: do the degar want any of the captured VC weapons for their use?
The soldiers fan out and secure the perimeter while everything else is unloaded.
[w] -> Tyran Drenski: Drenski I'm not sure I would trust a Vietnam era zip-line, but yes, the radioman told them the LZ might be hot.
Sergeant Almareth: Nah, they got enough off the other two squads they killed.
[w] Tyran Drenski: sorry it's the army in me the hot zones normally get a hot drop...:)
Ranger Richard: Colwyn need help loading hogpile on a chopper?
Colwyn O'Reilly: depends on if medics came with it, but probably
[w] -> Tyran Drenski: Drenski Yep. Don't worry, you all get to play with Vietnam era zip-lines pretty soon. :)
Tyran Drenski: i'll help too if you need.
[w] Tyran Drenski: why am I scared?
Colwyn O'Reilly: sarge, are we staying in the field?
[w] -> Tyran Drenski: Drenski You've heard stories.
2nd Lt. Harbin shows up and asks Sarge for a sitrep. Sarge explains what is going on.
Tyran Drenski: w/ i live with your brother.... duh
Asher (Colwyn O'Reilly): slash 'w'
[w] Tyran Drenski: I live with your brother
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): Lol
After a short conversation Sarge comes over to the squad.
Ranger Richard: yesy yes yes
Tyran Drenski: what is the plan sarg
Sergeant Almareth: Okay, since we had fun escorting civvies yesterday, and already saw our fighting today, plus we are down Hogpile. End result, Butterbar there tells me we can head back to base.
Ranger Richard: slowly he turned step by step inch by inch..........
Colwyn O'Reilly: yes sarge
Sergeant Almareth: So mount up and head home.
Colwyn O'Reilly helps load up hogpile and prepares him for transport
Ranger Richard: loads up
Tyran Drenski happily loads in the bird
Sergeant Almareth: Butterbar needs me to find the Degar again and translate, so they don't wipe out half the platoon before we realize they are friendly.
Randall Breckenridge: pile in
GM: You detected some serious sarcasm in the word "we" there.
GM: In fact, you didn't even need a Notice check to see Sarge roll his eyes.
Once everyone is on, the bird takes off and heads back to Dak-To.
Asher (Colwyn O'Reilly): *rolls* and we encounter four yeti on the way back... stupid random encounters
TADM: Damn snow trolls.
Ranger Richard: as long as the chopper doesnt crash from avoiding the willow o wisp in sky
TADM: Oh, and look, a Dark Unicorn with a Necromancer mage helping him.
TADM: Three Sand Drakes also.
Randall Breckenridge: woot
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): Snow trolls....Migration to the jungle??? they on vaction
Colwyn O'Reilly: I resupply my med supplies when we get back
Ranger Richard: reload magazine and clean weapons
Tyran Drenski: I retrieve my claymore back and restock
Ranger Richard: eat and sleep
Colwyn O'Reilly: oh, yeah, and replace my one bullet
Tyran Drenski: SH***T shower and shave
Colwyn O'Reilly: hey armoury manager... I need *A* bullet...
Ranger Richard: 1 shot 1 kill
Tyran Drenski: Since you have such a light load pick up 3 grenades for me'
Quartermaster: Just a minute while I shove my big toe so far up your ass a bullet pops out your mouth.
Ranger Richard: and 3 bullets for me!
Quartermaster: Damn snot-nosed brats.
Colwyn O'Reilly: that's true... I fired one bullet and killed one VC
Quartermaster: This army is not what is used to be.
Quartermaster: (issues replacement bullets and grenades, all the while making disparaging comments about everyone under the age of 40)
Colwyn O'Reilly: hey, I am the epitome of efficiency...
Tyran Drenski: (whispers) Wow supply is grouchy today.
Tyran Drenski: (whispers) he needs a nap
Colwyn O'Reilly: I resupply once care of Hogpile is transfered to a hospital, that is
Ranger Richard: are we all set for night?
Colwyn O'Reilly: any debrief?
GM: Sorry, prostitutes are not allowed on base. No debrief is available.
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): AAR?
Asher (Colwyn O'Reilly): called it
Nessie (Tyran Drenski): he did
Asher (Colwyn O'Reilly): i knew someone would drop either a sex or boxers joke
1st Lt Roznewski, the Company XO, finds the squad and requests an AAR from everyone.
Corporal Withers does most of the talking. He does not mention anything about giant spiders.
GM: Anyone want to add anything?
[w] Tyran Drenski: I'm surprized everyone seem to know what an AAR is
Tyran Drenski: I'm good
[w] Colwyn O'Reilly: like maybe the giant webbing?
Randall Breckenridge: nah
Colwyn O'Reilly: he doesn't mention the chickens either then?
[w] -> Tyran Drenski: John and Richard were both in the military. I'm sure CJ knows what an AAR is, and so do I.
Ranger Richard: How about cool super huge webs!
GM: Nope, he does not mention the chicken traps.
[w] Tyran Drenski: You all rock!!!!!!
John (Randall Breckenridge): chickens are a secret weapon for adventurers in any setting.
Colwyn O'Reilly: my only addition is an assessment on hogpile's possible ability to return to duty
Tyran Drenski: and spider single threads
Colwyn O'Reilly: which is probably slim, given him being about dead
Roznewski: Yes, the fact that you had no casualties was pretty amazing. Awesome medical work private.
Colwyn O'Reilly: thank you sir
Campaign saved.
