Feneril (Rhotinia): I am here, but my PC audio isn't working for some reason
Feneril (Rhotinia): I am trying to see if I can fix it so I can get on Discord
Kazemi (Volmalric): I recommend sacrificing a sheep to Mitra
GM: I recommend sacrificing a Meltam to the Discord Deities.
Tack (Tilpi): Im not sure mitra is that sort of god.
GM: I agree, I think Mitra would not necessarily assist with making Discord work better.
Tack (Tilpi): discord deities are more like Tzeentch, and need you for playing an elaborate game.
Tack (Tilpi): nom nom nom, this data is delicious.
The group is on the other side of the mysterious glyph covered door, which has a barrier Sophie was unable to pass. She has charged off the opposite direction to engage in ferocious battle with the corrupted Lemurian Royal Guards (who have devolved into orangutuan like creatures) and give the group plenty of time to wander through the flower-scented, breezy, and pleasant tunnel which is suspiciously out of place in a lava tube... which is not that bad, given how suspiciously out of place you are already.
Rhotinia keeps pressing on down the corridor, not daring to look back at Sophie
Tilpi is enraptured in eternal spring.
Tilpi suddenly realizes there is an accute lack of sunshine and this begins to harsh her pastoral mellow.
Tilpi: I hate to be overly suspicious, but is it not possible that Sophie wasn't actually...the real Sophie? I begin to despise this dream.
The tunnel leads forward in one direction, and after a short distance begins angling up and curving before finally ending in a large circular chamber bathed in light coming through angled reflections and pointing towards a single large stone sarcophagus in the middle of the room. The ground is covered with lichen and the walls have vines and creepers growing up the side. The smell of fresh rain reaches your nostrils. There are multiple exits leading down from this room, evidently there are many paths to reach this place.
Volmalric approaches the sarcophagus to look it over and ascertain the purpose of the room

You succeeded and generated momentum!
Volmalric: Well, it's got Acheronian glyphs on it at least. Probably not our sorcerer, that's for sure
Tilpi: Could it be Rhiveth?
Rhotinia: Entirely possible
Tilpi: ...That would make this area the axis mundi of this realm
Tilpi: We better not actually loot it
Tilpi smiles.
Volmalric: Absolutely not
Kazemi (Volmalric): How many entrances are there to the room?
GM: There are a total of six, if this was a hexagon and not circular, they would be located at the points.
Rhotinia: The Lemurian royal guards implies Lemurian royalty to me...
Rhotinia: So I'd say at least even odds on Rhiveth being in there
Rhotinia: but the other 50% is certain death
Rhotinia: So definitely a conundrum
Volmalric: The other 50% is her evil twin
Tilpi: I wish someone could read that book to talk to her
Volmalric: I'm not sure I want to here
Volmalric: But I wonder if we can get a less direct connection going
Tilpi: 1 in 5 isn't good enough
Tilpi: I wonder if we can ask it...hrm
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls an Observation test:
Target: 11 Focus: 1 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 1 Momentum: 0 [1d20.11+1d20.13 = 24]
You did succeed!
Volmalric sets up a spot, pulling out a pot from his bag and a variety of herbs
Volmalric used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool
Volmalric: Volmalric rolls an Alchemy test:
Target: 14 Focus: 4 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 4 Momentum: 3 [1d20.19+1d20.4 = 23]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Volmalric begins doling out the various drugs and herbs, gathering them together in the pot and gesturing for his companions to take a seat around him
Volmalric: This may work better if we call for her together, than apart
Volmalric: But it's up to you if you'd like to join in
Tilpi: I am not sure your god approves of this?
Rhotinia: Don't be a narc
Tilpi: Of course I am not, but most Aquiloinians are.
Rhotinia sits near Volmalric
Rhotinia: Ophiri have no such hangups.
Volmalric: A similar ritual is used by the Mitran priests for other purposes. I doubt this is something Mitra would frown upon given the circumstances, even if it's not being used explicitly for his guidance
Tilpi: Oh really? Then you won't mind wearing this wreath of flowers over your nice clothes there?
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls a Counsel test:
Target: 13 Focus: 4 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 2 Momentum: 1 [1d20.10+1d20.8 = 18]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Rhotinia: You know Volmalric, if you are looking for stable employment (assuming we ever make it out of here alive), I know some people who could make use of someone with your alchemical skills
Volmalric: Alchemists are not known for their stability, so that might be appreciated
Tilpi offers Rhotinia a floral laurel. You suspect it may leave stains on rich clothes.
GM: All alchemists know that alcohol is a solution,
Tilpi: Prove your flower power there sis.
Rhotinia accepts the laurel, her fine silks are in her saddlebags anyways
Tilpi 's face begins pointing around the room, as if trying to pinpoint a scent.
Rhotinia: Are you ok there dear?
Tilpi: Yes! I have found the realm of the evil sorceror.
Volmalric: Oh?
Rhotinia: Sounds like someone got an early start on the drugs
Tilpi points to the tunnel opposite of our entrance.
Tilpi: 100%, that leads to Thumocris.
Volmalric: Hmmm, good stuff, then.
Volmalric: I mostly wanted to draw upon Rhiveth here for directions; if we know which way to go, we can head over that way
Tilpi: The anther is all around you.
Rhotinia: And what makes you so convinced?
Rhotinia is visibly skeptical
GM: "Yes, Inquisitor of Mitra, I was just going to use the mind-altering drugs to commune with a really attractive long-dead Lemurian Princess about saving the world. You really do not need to use the red-hot poker on me to get a confession."
Tilpi: Smell.
Rhotinia smells the air
Tilpi: Particularly that there's an aroma here, and an odor eminating from that direction.
Rhotinia: Rhotinia rolls an Observation test:
Target: 9 Focus: 0 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 2 Momentum: 1 [1d20.1+1d20.4 = 5]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Volmalric: I can believe that
Volmalric bags up the concoction for future use
Rhotinia: Fair enough
Tilpi: Where the other 6 tunnels go, who knows.
Rhotinia: Onward toward the horrible stench of death then, I suppose
Rhotinia mutters under her breath
Tilpi: Can't be any worse than that thing you call civilization.
Volmalric gathers up his things and stands up, heading towards the tunnel
Volmalric: This one?
Tilpi: Yep
Rhotinia draws her bow and heads down the tunnel
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls a Discipline test:
Target: 8 Focus: 0 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 1 Momentum: 0 [1d20.1+1d20.17 = 18]
You did succeed!
Tilpi sighs deeply.
Tilpi: I didn't want to leave here, but I guess we have to.
The group heads from the nice smelling tomb down the tunnel and after a distance of about 300 paces, with the smell getting worse the entire time, until everything reeks of brimstone and sulfur, you reach a room with a dozen stone statues posed like guards protecting the entrances. There are two at each entrance and the room is mostly identical to the one you were in for physical layout and dimensions. The walls are notched with hundreds of little nooks where small canopic jars reside. In the center of the room is a stone throne, upon which is sitting a man in a simple white robe. He looks old, scholarly, and tired. As you enter there is a grating noise as the throne turns so he can face you.
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls a Lore test:

You succeeded and generated momentum!
Volmalric: Hello
Old Man: You look older than the last time I saw you. The years have not been kind.
Rhotinia: Normally I would be more cordial, but I am rather out of my element here
Rhotinia: Rhotinia rolls a Society test:
Target: 17 Focus: 5 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 1 Momentum: 0 [1d20.19+1d20.9 = 28]
You did succeed!
Rhotinia speaks down the sight of her bow
Old Man: I understand, I have felt that way for quite some time.
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls a Counsel test:
Target: 13 Focus: 4 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 1 Successes: 2 Momentum: 1 [1d20.20+1d20.4 = 24]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Old Man attempts to gesture with his hand, you notice there are gold chains around his wrists and ankles, keeping him from moving on the throne.
GM: In other words, DC0 to shoot him, if the time comes.
Volmalric: Volmalric rolls a Lore test:
Target: 12 Focus: 2 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 1 Momentum: 0 [1d20.14+1d20.3 = 17]
You did succeed!
Old Man: Last time I saw this man, he was with two others. I must say his choice of companions has improved.
Volmalric: Last time I saw you, you were a stone demon
Volmalric: You appear to be a bit more preoccupied here. I'm very curious about how that worked
Old Man: Ah yes, I can take that form outside this realm. It was necessary to drive off the Acheronian Sorceror the three of you released from his prison.
Rhotinia lowers her bow
Old Man gestures to a nearby alcove, you spot that the canopic jar in it is broken. There are a few around here that are shattered in that fashion.
Volmalric: Which prison are you talking about? If I recall correctly, he'd already taken over a chieftain by the time I met him for the first time
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls an Insight test:
Target: 12 Focus: 1 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 1 Momentum: 0 [1d20.13+1d20.6 = 19]
You did succeed!
Old Man: Perhaps he wormed his way free and you just widened the door. I am somewhat limited in information, but if you have questions, feel free to ask. I, for instance, can tell you that a certain barge of leather goods is traveling the waters quite nicely and its owner is due a tidy profit thanks to recent changes in demand in her target market.
Rhotinia: That is nice to know, but at the moment I am more preoccupied with getting out of here alive
Rhotinia: And having some version of Messantia to return to which isn't overrun with ghouls
Tilpi: I have a question, venerable old one. How does one put him back in a jar?
Old Man: Thumocris back in the jar?
Tilpi: Thumocris or anyone like him. There seems to be quite a few broken jars in your collection.
Volmalric: The Acheronian Sorcerer, I believe
Old Man: Some have shattered yes. These are all Acheronian Sorcerers who have been imprisoned for the sake of humanity, most abandoned their humanity for power and present a risk if allowed free.
Old Man: The ones that shattered escaped and have dispersed themselves throughout the world, plotting a way to build a new kingdom of sorcery.
Rhotinia: Is there no way to kill them permanently?
Old Man: Yes, but not with just these containers. They managed to render themselves effectively immortal by trapping a small part of their souls in various receptacles. These jars contain the larger parts of when they were free. If the portion that exists in Hyboria is collected and brought here and the canopic jar here is sacrified with it to the volcano, they are destroyed permanently. If the jar here is destroyed but the remnant in Hyboria remains they merely return there to wreak havoc.
Old Man: The very strong ones can influence Hyboria and find some way to break the larger container to reconstitute themselves.
Volmalric: And Thumocris's jar was one that broke in Hyboria? Did it break here as well?
Old Man: Yes, when they figure out how to free themselves from their self-made prison in Hyboria, their jar here can break if the proper ritual is conducted.
Rhotinia looks around the room
Rhotinia: You wouldn't happen to have any empty jars, would you?
Old Man: Yes, I would happen to have some spare jars, they are in the alcove there.
Old Man gestures with a tip of his head in the direction of one of the other passages.
Volmalric: So what's left you here, chained up to the throne of stone?
Old Man: A sense of duty.
Tilpi: It seems like there's got to be a better way to deal with these problems than leaving them ajar forever.
Old Man laughs at Tilpi's pun.
Volmalric: Ah
Old Man: Or perhaps guilt.
Volmalric: Is that what the chains are meant to represent?
Tilpi takes the most colorful of the jars nodded to.
Old Man: They do.
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls an Insight test:
Target: 12 Focus: 1 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 2 Momentum: 1 [1d20.12+1d20.5 = 17]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Tilpi begins painting floral designs on the jar using flower-derived inks
Tilpi used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls a Craft test:
Target: 13 Focus: 2 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 3 Momentum: 2 [1d20.16+1d20.4 = 20]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Tilpi: There! That'll teach Thumocris!
Volmalric raises an eyebrow
Volmalric: Well, I suppose this will work much better than the body
Volmalric: It does not decompose
Tilpi: What, how do you think all the other sorcerors will think of him now?
Tilpi: This plan is great!
Tilpi: How do we get him into here =D?
Volmalric: Do you have a name?
Old Man: Yes, but not in a language that is pronouncable in human form. So Andes will work if you want to call me a name.
Rhotinia: Well Tilpi, the original plan involved you chanting in Atlantian while I impale Thumocris on a javelin and Volmalric throws salt around
Volmalric: And chains him up
Volmalric: If he's not in a body when we find him, we can draw him into the canopic jar
Tilpi: Okay, sure teach me the song.
Volmalric: This would be easier, but I'm planning on having to stab something
Andes: He's in a body, wandering around this volcano, trying to reach this place. Specifically, trying to reach the room you came from.
Tilpi: Oh no! Why?
Tilpi: No no no no
Volmalric: Well, we've left one door open
Rhotinia: Shit, nice meeting you
Rhotinia: Time to go, double time
Rhotinia to Tilpi and Volmalric
Rhotinia runs down the corridor back towards the room
Rhotinia (shouting): Next time, don't bury the lead!
Volmalric runs after, getting the chain ready as he runs
Tilpi prays that Sophie isn't possessed.
Andes: Good luck!
Rhotinia, having taken off at a sprint, reaches the nice smelling room just as several orangutuan creatures run into the room, hooting and screaming. Behind them, there is a glowing red aura pulsing up the tunnel.
Tilpi's face turns into a steely gaze. No one messes with flowerland(TM)
