Feneril (Rhotinia): I am here, just dealing with audio for a sec before I can join discord
A group of 5 of the Chimpanzee creatures that used to be Lemurian Royal Guard are running towards you, hooting and hollering.
Down the tunnel behind them is a glowing red light.
[TURN] Rhotinia
Rhotinia used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool
Rhotinia: Rhotinia rolls a Ranged test:
Target: 13 Focus: 3 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 2 Momentum: 1 [1d20.14+1d20.17 = 31]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Rhotinia: Rhotinia does damage with Longbow (2 loads):
Rolling 7d6 combat dice...
Total: 8 Effects: 3 [1d60.1+2d60.2+1d60.4+1d60.5+2d60.6 = 26]
Rhotinia unleashes a hail of arrows on the Lemurian guards
One of them drops to the ground, peppered with the arrows and the one next to him staggers around, barely upright with a couple arrows sticking in him.
[TURN] Tilpi
Volmalric pulls out a spherical glass orb filled with a lime green vapor, throwing it at the guards
Volmalric: Volmalric rolls an Alchemy test:
Target: 14 Focus: 4 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 2 Momentum: 1 [1d20.17+1d20.5+1d20.9 = 31]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Kazemi (Volmalric): 1 momentum for 2 armor pen, 1 for one bonus damage
Volmalric: Volmalric does damage with Loud Fireworks (Fearsome, Area):
Rolling 7d6 combat dice...
Total: 4 Effects: 2 [1d60.2+3d60.3+1d60.4+2d60.5 = 25]
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls a Counsel test:
Target: 13 Focus: 4 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 2 Momentum: 1 [1d20.14+1d20.2 = 16]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Volmalric: The glass hits the ground, shattering and spreading a wave of vapor around the Lemurian guards. After expanding past a certain point, the vapor shifts from green to red as it combusts
Tilpi Begins making strange, primitive grunts and clicks.
Tilpi Urges you to stop attacking these strange creatures, who have suffered enough misfortune.
Rhotinia lowers her bow
Rhotinia bows politely
The singed and currently flaming Lemurian guards (who, in retrospect, appear to be fleeing something rather than charging at you) rush towards the group while lowering their weapons.
A voice echoes down the corridor.
Tilpi attempts to teach them the stop, drop and roll dance.
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls a Counsel test:
Target: 13 Focus: 4 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 1 Momentum: 0 [1d20.16+1d20.8 = 24]
You did succeed!
Thumocris: Sophie's plan to just kill everything I could possibly possess made sense, I'm a bit curious who gave her that idea, she is not smart enough to come up with it on her own.
Tilpi [Hyrkanian]: [Translation] Oga-Booga, fire go out like this
Rhotinia: You shouldn't underestimate her
Lemurian guard 1 [Hyrkanian]: [Translation] Do funky dance like nice smelling hairless two-leg recommend!
Rhotinia: Coward, don'
Volmalric: You clearly don't understand her particular type of intelligence
Rhotinia: I haven't forgotten that you ran away at our last encounter
Thumocris: Oh, there will be no running this time. I have need of things in the Stone Demon's room, and you have been annoying long enough that it makes sense for you to die in this room.
Thumocris: The added bonus of defiling and destroying Rhiveth's tomb and weakening her immensely while killing you makes it all the more enjoyable.
Thumocris casts several buffing spells this round.
[TURN] Volmalric
[TURN] Vulture Swarm
[ROUND 2]
[TURN] Rhotinia
Rhotinia: Time to even the odds a bit
Rhotinia: Rhotinia rolls a Ranged test:
Target: 13 Focus: 3 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 0 Momentum: 0 [1d20.17+1d20.19 = 36]
You did not succeed.
Tilpi used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls a Warfare test:
Target: 11 Focus: 0 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 3 Momentum: 2 [1d20.10+1d20.11 = 21]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Tilpi Begins smearing floral war paint on her new friends, then making elaborate hand gestures, causing the Darro to take up tactical postions around the room.
Tack (Tilpi): Welcome to the circus.
Volmalric barely notices the lemurs, staring at the infurno that's engulfed Rhiveth's sarcophogus
Volmalric: AHHHHH
Volmalric: Why would you DO that?
Rhotinia: To free her from her prison
Volmalric: Does this look like a prison to you?
Rhotinia: The stone guy said that the sorcerers essences are trapped in those jars, if Rhiveth's essence is trapped in the sarcophagus then breaking it would free her
Thumocris: I was not expecting someone else to create a funeral pyre for the Lemurian Witch. I guess you changed your mind and decided to switch to the profitable side of the combat situation?
Volmalric: If Rhiveth's essence is using that as its final anchor point in the realms, then it could kill her
Volmalric grabs his bag and pulls together as many of his anti-fire measures as he can
Volmalric used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool
Volmalric: Volmalric rolls an Alchemy test:
Target: 14 Focus: 4 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 1 Successes: 1 Momentum: 0 [1d20.14+1d20.17+1d20.20 = 51]
You did succeed!
Volmalric used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool
Volmalric: a giant cloud of white powder envelops the flames, coating the sarcophogus and the surrounding spaces in a thick white dust which expands into a foam that bubbles and hisses in the heat, but does not burn
Volmalric hurls a giant bag of "anti-fire" stuff at the funeral pyre and they cancel each other out. When the fire clears there is nothing left of the stone sarcophagus except for the stone dias it rested on.
Thumocris: Interestingly, neither Sophie nor Meltam were natural enough to pass the portal, so I had to find something workable, this one is good.
Thumocris casts some spells of various inimical nature.
The group hears what sounds like several murders of crows echoing down four of the other entrances, a stream of black birds of various types flock into the room and attack everything non-avian.
One of the nicely painted Lemurian Guards gets pecked to death.
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls an Observation test:
Target: 11 Focus: 1 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 3 Momentum: 2 [1d20.1+1d20.9 = 10]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Tilpi's excellent sense of hearing, which somehow was enough to determine this over the screeching of a hundred birds, indicates that Thumocris has entered the room. His voice is no longer echoing down the corridor, which means he must have entered the room but is somehow invisible.
Kazemi (Volmalric): Alchemy check for a poor-man's glitterdust
Volmalric: Volmalric rolls an Alchemy test:
Target: 14 Focus: 4 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 3 Momentum: 2 [1d20.6 = 6]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Tilpi: Something is over there!
Volmalric: Volmalric rolls an Alchemy test:
Target: 14 Focus: 4 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 2 Momentum: 1 [1d20.13+1d20.14 = 27]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Thumocris is evidently inhabiting Freyda.
Volmalric: ...
Volmalric: Wait, did you marry Meltam?
Thumocris: My taste in mates is not that poor. Honestly, you probably have no idea how horrible it was to fake it with him until he passed out, so I could murder him and their brats in their sleep and then make it here in time to try and get something useful accomplished.
Tilpi is not very amused by this
Thumocris: Add to that the severe annoyance of Sophie depopulating the area and these ape-things being completely unsuitable and I was left with this choice only.
Rhotinia is horrified at the thought of forcing a mother to kill her own children
Rhotinia used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool
Volmalric: I suppose giving Freyda a noble death might be the most honorable thing to do
Lemurian Guard 3 dies nobly defending Rhotinia from her amazing plan which will save the Hyborian Age!
GM: Wait... I think I might have meant, "to implement her" not "from her"
Rhotinia: Freyda, hear my voice dear. I know that the grief you are feeling must be overwhelming you and every fiber of your soul wants nothing more than to bury it. But Thumocris is in you now. He is wresting with your soul. And there is no force more powerful in the hearts or minds of men than the grief of a mother who has lost her children. Feel your grief, all of your grief. Thumocris may be powerful, but he is no match for the full measure of your grief!
Rhotinia: Rhotinia rolls a Persuade test:
Target: 15 Focus: 3 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 4 Momentum: 3 [1d20.1+1d20.16 = 17]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Rhotinia sobs convincingly as she delivers her impassioned plea
Thumocris: rolls a test:
Target: 17 Focus: 0 Difficulty: 4 Complications: 0 Successes: 3 Momentum: 0 [2d20.11+1d20.17 = 39]
You did not succeed.
Thumocris is about to offer a rebuttal when her left arm starts strangling herself.
A swarm of Ravens swirls around Volmalric, pecking and clawing at him.
Thumocris: rolls a test:
Target: 6 Focus: 0 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 1 Momentum: 0 [1d20.12+1d20.3 = 15]
You did succeed!
Volmalric: Volmalric rolls an Acrobatics test:
Target: 9 Focus: 1 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 1 Momentum: 0 [1d20.12+1d20.7 = 19]
You did succeed!
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls an Acrobatics test:
Target: 8 Focus: 1 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 1 Momentum: 0 [1d20.18+1d20.6 = 24]
You did succeed!
Tilpi and Volmalric are pecked and clawed but the damage is minor this round. However, the stream of birds coming down the hallway is not diminishing, so the swarms are getting bigger and nastier. Vision to the far side of the chamber is partially obscured by the sheer number of birds.
[ROUND 3]
Rhotinia: You will see your children again soon dear, my heart aches for you...
Rhotinia used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool
Rhotinia: Rhotinia rolls a Ranged test:
Target: 13 Focus: 3 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 2 Momentum: 1 [1d20.15+1d20.17 = 32]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Rhotinia: Rhotinia does damage with Bluesteel Javelin:
Rolling 3d6 combat dice...
Total: 4 Effects: 2 [1d60.2+2d60.5 = 12]
Rhotinia hurls the blue steel javelin with all her might, it seems to hit a solid protective wall in front of Thumocris and sticks there, vibrating back and forth with the strength of her throw, but about 3 paces short of the intended target.
Rhotinia: Oh shit...
Rhotinia: Volmalric, slight problem with the plan here
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls an Acrobatics test:
Target: 8 Focus: 1 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 0 Momentum: 0 [2d20.10 = 20]
You did not succeed.
Tilpi manages to get covered in bird droppings, theorizing that this will provide her with some sort of camouflage next round.
Volmalric used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool
Volmalric: Volmalric rolls a Sorcery test:
Target: 10 Focus: 2 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 1 Successes: 2 Momentum: 1 [1d20.19+1d20.20 = 39]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Volmalric used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool

Target: 10 Focus: 2 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 4 Momentum: 3 [1d20.10+1d20.6 = 16]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Tilpi is filled with a sense of unease, as if reality is fraying about her.
In a scene reminiscent of Meltam's attempts at Sorcery (somewhere he is yelling, "I told you so" right now) Volmalric feels his body distending and an amazing amount of blood begins flowing from all of his orifices (Tilpi verifies this by noticing his pants look kind of like what happens when she forgets pads during a certain time of the month) and he howls in pain while purple streams of light arc from his fingers and tear large divots in the ground. Volmalric begins levitating about four feet off the ground and a large blue sphere forms around him. His head begins spinning counter to the way his body his turning.
Thumocris: Oh... shit...
Thumocris: Umm....
Thumocris looks at Rhotinia.
Thumocris: I vote... peace treaty to deal with that? Then we can resume killing each other afterwards?
Rhotinia: I have no words for what is happening right now
The birds begin swarming around Tilpi to protect her from whatever the thing is Volmalric is doing.
Thumocris runs over to the blue steel javelin, grabs it (smoke starts rising from Freyda's arm, clearly this is very inimical to her/him/it) and hurls it at Volmalric.
Thumocris: rolls a test:
Target: 13 Focus: 0 Difficulty: 2 Complications: 0 Successes: 1 Momentum: 0 [1d20.14+1d20.9 = 23]
You did not succeed.
The javelin deflects off Volmalric's defense sphere and skitters to the ground near Tilpi's feet.
Thumocris: Hmm... okay, I need to see about dispelling that.
Thumocris looks at Rhotinia.
Thumocris: I don't suppose you happen to have a quiver full of blue steel arrows?
Thumocris: If not, we can fake it with a spell.
Rhotinia: Sadly, no
Thumocris: Okay, let me try this.
Thumocris: rolls a test:
Target: 17 Focus: 0 Difficulty: 3 Complications: 2 Successes: 0 Momentum: 0 [1d20.20+1d20.20 = 40]

You succeeded and generated momentum!
Tilpi used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool
Tilpi: Tilpi rolls a Ranged test:
Target: 12 Focus: 1 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 1 Successes: 3 Momentum: 2 [1d20.20+1d20.5 = 25]
You succeeded and generated momentum!
Tilpi hurls the javelin and it cuts through Volmalric's defenses and straight through his chest, impaling him and causing him to begin rotating violently through the air, before ricocheting off a wall and then flinging into the ground.
Tilpi seems shocked at her new, more violent self
Freyda gasps in pain, clutches the same spot on her chest where Tilpi just drove the spear through Volmalric's body and screams in pain before flopping over on the ground and laying in exactly the same position as Volmalric occupies.
Rhotinia used a Fortune point to add a Natural 1 to their dice pool
Rhotinia: Rhotinia rolls a Thievery test:
Target: 8 Focus: 0 Difficulty: 1 Complications: 0 Successes: 3 Momentum: 2 [1d20.4+1d20.8 = 12]
