Meltam appears to have successfully removed the splinter from his eye. He does hop around for a couple seconds before managing to clamp down with his teeth on a large fly while flailing his arms around like he is trying to fly. But it passes quickly, and meh, sorcerors do weird things, so who is going to judge?
Meltam: Well, at least we haven't been attacked by monsters yet.
Volmalric estimates that the concoction will be done in about fifteen minutes, based on the "Rachel Ray's Guide to Defeating Creautres from the Outer Dark" Cookbook he is following.

Rat puts on some thick sunglasses, then resumes putting fingers in ears.
There is a "whomp" noise and a small greenish mushroom cloud erupts out of the cauldron. Everything is bathed in a really unhealthy looking neon green light for about 5 seconds. The liquid contents of the cauldron vanish as a sickening "slurp" noise echoes through the room, leaving behind a glowing green crocodile tooth in the bottom of an otherwise dry cauldron.
Rat takes off sunglasses.
Meltam: Well there we go
Volmalric: Excellent!
Meltam: Now let's get out of here.
Meltam: Fantastic job we aren't dead.
Slumbara grabs the tooth

Slumbara: What sort of horses were they riding?
Volmalric walks for about 20 feet or so, and stops when the torchlight reveals mucusy white globules fall from the ceiling from what looks like putrescent veins snaking through the dirt.
Volmalric: We go back
GM: "falling from the ceiling"
Meltam: Eh? What's this?
Volmalric: Very gross
Meltam: Yes but certainly it has some explanation?
Volmalric: It very well might, but we have not the resources to explore it without risking the riders finding us

Several dozen more rats appear at the edge of the torchlight, their red, beady, hate-filled eyes focused on Meltam. There is hungry chittering among them.
Volmalric: Oh no
Meltam closes his eyes and sniffs.
Volmalric: What did you do?
Meltam does not answer Volmalric, and appears to be wildily probing the air with his nose.
Slumbara: Is he about to turn into a rat?
Volmalric: Or at least gained their scent ability
Slumbara: So you're saying he smells like a rat
Meltam: I suggest we exit S.
Meltam: ...South Tunne;
Meltam: Tunnel even
Volmalric: South tunnel it is, 2 to 1 vote
Rats glare angrily at Meltam, but scamper back off into the darkness.
Slumbara: So what you're saying is, Slumbara was right the first time
Slumbara leads them back to the south tunnel
Meltam: Yes but....Always helps to have a second take eh?
As the group heads south, the Rat who has been scampering along with you waves "good-bye" and then runs off to the west.
Volmalric: Take care, little rat!
Volmalric: Good luck!
Meltam: Just follow your nose wouldn't be repeated so often if it wasn't correct, right?
Slumbara: Sure, keep telling yourself that
The group heads south about thirty feet and the tunnel turns sharply to the east. As soon as you turn the corner you spot a wavering blue light in the distance, it is hard to judge distance in the darkness, but you would guess it is more than fifty feet away and about the size of a human fist, it is approximately at "Slumbara Head Level".
It appears to be moving towards you.
Slumbara: Light is good
Slumbara: Or bad
Slumbara: hard to say here
Meltam: Onward!
Volmalric: Not many directions to go in
Slumbara continues towards the light
Volmalric: Looks like a person is carrying it
After a short walk, it becomes obvious a person holding the blue light is walking towards the group. Once your eyes adjust to it and you get a little closer, you spot a familiar looking person.
Delia: Oh good, you did figure out to come this way.
Meltam: Greetings Delia!
Volmalric: Delia? What are you doing here?
Delia: Hello, I see you are all still alive and whole. That is surprising news.
Slumbara: I thought we were rescuing you from the snake monster
Delia looks at Volmalric.
Delia: Looking for you, but you probably don't remember sending me to find you, since you look younger than I remember.
Delia: Oh, I was suitably rescued already, but thanks for the attempt.
Volmalric: Do tell
Meltam contemplates the crossed time sub-streams in this crazy world for a moment.

Delia: Well, old you said you might eventually get the components and figure out how to make the spear. I was supposed to watch for tuba-shaped smoke coming from the volcano and if I saw it, head to the village tunnels and try to prevent you from getting killed.
Volmalric: Oh, lovely
Volmalric: I was hoping the dragon would have killed the tuba demon
Meltam: but....if you escaped, why do we need the spear?

Volmalric: Also, will you be so kind as to explain how you escaped?
Delia: Because if I escaped from something, it means the Servitor is still here and we are still stuck in crazy-loop-land at the whims of Giant-King.
Delia: I escaped because you freed me in one of your cunning and amazing plans of bravery. Thanks again.
Volmalric: Giant-King being the one who sent us here?
Meltam: But we know there are fissures on this reality. I even remember the spot close to the Crocodile King's lair. We can leave whenever really?
Delia: Yes, the Scholar-King being the member of the Giant-Kings who sent us here.
Slumbara: If we don't need to rescue you, didn't Meltam find an exit?

Delia: Well, where I'm from I'm used to you (points at Meltam) being a demonic bat creature that feeds on the blood of humans.
Delia: So you have no desire to leave under normal circumstances.
